I was in Kandahar on the last roto, and I'll defiantly echo the CDS' statement that no matter how much armour you put on a vehicle, the insurgents will just build a bigger bomb.....

You know what I regret not bringing with me to Afghanistan? A water-gun... I would have loved to have had a miniature super soaker.. *evil laughter*

Hey Redleg, when I was last there in early Feb of this year, Popeye was doing great.. Still going around with that smile on his face. They bought him a gator to tear around the PRT compound with, and he was loving it.

I thought we figured out the nationality and some more info on this when it was posted a year or two ago... Either way, it still amazes me how slow the others appear to be reacting to buddy getting thrown back so far.

Everyone reacts differently to any given situation, and no one knows how they'll react until they're actually put in that situation, so you can't say what an 'average' pilot would do. Heck, even Maverick stopped flying for a while after Goose died in an accident. But, he got back on the horse...

The airport restaurant in Zagreb... I had the BEST streak of my life there on my way back from the the funny country... Absolutely fantastic. My mouth waters just thinking about it...
