Thanks, it's encouraging to see how many they are looking to hire for the next fiscal year since it seems like I might wait the rest of my life for Firefighter to open up. I'll have to do some research on how hard Med Tech is to get in....especially since all my background is in fire  ::)

I noticed that on my list of "qualified" trades I have Med Tech (737) under Technical as well as Med A (R711) What's the difference?  They look like of the same on the website/video

So more trades could be added?  Or is that it...?

Why not just do the 14 weeks at JIBC?  You're getting paid for it and it should be a cakewalk.  I didn't think medic was a skilled trade anyway.  You're in...enjoy.

I gather that BMQ in St Jean can occur anytime throughout the year.  How can this be when people can experience it "easy" in the spring/summer/fall or brutal in the winter.  Surely doing pushups in the snow is different in January than June, and camping out in the winter sucks more than summer. ...
