I use a pair of MEC softshell gloves for temps around -5 or so, a pair of the issued trigger finger leather and wool gloves for any colder, and on occasion a pair of snowboarding gloves in a military friendly color. I also use a set of Manzella windstopper liner gloves, they are great for...

What is the Milspec levels of protection exactly? Like what numbers and letters should I be seeing on the package to indicate that I'm not going to be enduring a blast of hot metal to the eye balls in case of an unpleasant situation?

    tactical vest

I'm 6'2" and 185lbs, and have some issues with the smallpack. for me, its too high up, so the waist belt is basically useless to me. the shoulder straps dont cinch up well, and i end up with the strap without padding cutting into me. with armor and second line kit and etc, the shoulder straps...

    Tacvest Mods

I agree with you on the replacement of the mag pouches. i dont like them that high up, and neither do a couple of them, but it beats having only 4 mags, and if they have to use the TV it works a bit better. i have a TT mav, that works wonders for me.

    Tacvest Mods

OUTSTANDING! ive see some guys have the normal mag pouches removed and molle sewn on in place, and use dropzone or HSGI triples or doubles in place. this way looks easier to me, and also less permenant. id forgotten about Dropzones side panel for the TV. i espically like the camelback idea...
