Those documents just carry your posting message and some other information you will need in St-Jean.  You can open it up if you want, it wont really make a difference.  When you get there, they may ask for certain docs at different times, so you will need to be able to access them.

I would be more concerned with what one does in a uniform than what the uniform is.

It works.  But really it depends on what trade you get into.  Certain trades will give you a signing bonus of 10 to 30G depending on ones qualifications.  If one is already skilled in the desired trade, one might get a promotion to Cpl once finished BMQ.

It has to start sometime.  For Canada, it would be best to start ASAP.
