I don't think the time it takes for the Medical has anything to do with the PT test.  Some files just take longer than others; everyone has a different medical.

When I was at bmq, people had cell phones there.  You can use them after hours, but just don't have them with you during the training day.

I'm sure that most of the answers to the elements would have to depend on the trade of the officer; one can't just put each one as a generic pro or con in an element without considering the trade first.
