Depends on what trade you want as well. My dad used to be part of the Blackwatch in Montreal as a cadet, then reservist & piper....Like I said it depends on the trade you want (& if you can handle wearing a kilt!!  :P).

I plastered myself in red & white  :cdn: including my red maple leaf hat that strangers told me all day they loved it. Then went to Ontario Place for the fireworks (but left before) cause didn't plan for the damn cold....how stupid of me, oh well. Then went home & had a nice bottle of rum!!

As a section commander or 2i/c, i've noticed that (in my unit anyways, can't speak for anyone else) even when trying to plan a training night a week in advance is a waste of time because someone always higher up has a "better idea" & then we sit around half the night & making up training...

We all heard about the Live 8 concerts that took place July 2/05 to raise awareness for ending world poverty & to let the G8 group know that the world wants them to take action.   (remember that tickets to the events were free  ::)) Do people think it was successful & will it help the poor...

Actually, we WEREN'T told to turn in our web gear yet.  We were told to keep on to it for now.

Dude, that is totally an American thing. Get with the program!!  ::) As for you heavy duty...be prepared to be put extremely to the test by all that male testosterone BS.  I'm in infantry reserves but have heard stories from females who've done reg force infantry.  Kick some serious a*s!!!  :salute:

Well, if you're not settled into your job by October then there's issues to begin with.  Doing bmq over the weekends starting october isn't a real big deal, except you might be a little more tired but just go to bed earlier during the week.  The course itself isn't very hard, just tiring at...

There is a written test after most POs (sections) are completed, for example, general service knowledge, NBCD, first aid....& there are others as well.  If you pay attention during the lectures & the review periods the tests should be rather easy.  You will also be given time to study so no...
