    Webbing

Webbing is a nice piece of kit to play around with. I found it moderately useful in cadets. If you are getting a knife, just get a multi-tool instead of a big knife with a sheath that fits on webbing. A small gerber on a belt is alot more useful than a knife in a scabbard. Also, if you have your...

    How to declare Jihad

My guess is the guy had a mental breakdown...went crazy...slapped himself in the head and knocked down his headdress...and the other guys are just telling other people to keep their headdress on... ??? I'm guessing the music was added in.

    K-Bars and Cadets

Media does not only mean main stream newspapers, evening news, etc. The Internet is also a medium. It's on a forum that can be viewed by anybody.

    K-Bars and Cadets

You'd be surprised. Blackdown CSTC 2003, Delta Company CL, week 4 ftx. A kid got stabbed in the ribs because another kid was playing with his little gerber. He was lucky he hit bone instead of the space in between. I had to do first aid. Imagine if that WAS a K-bar. How can you say that when...

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

what is the difference between this and ROTP? I don't quite understand. Is this to say that if I graduated highschool with the required courses, I can be commissioned and then start my way to a degree?

    Basic Para 2005

HEY BUD! HOW'S IT GOING?! RMC...well St. Jean...is pretty cool. Its a nice place. The pt of course is not hard enough, nowhere near para standards... Law or Arnie, put up some stuff about the Dutch wings. I'm think i'm going to give it a go. It'll be better than no wings at all. Speaking of...

    Background Performers WANTED

I was down at Fort York just Wednesday for my old Cadet Corps change of command parade. They were filming a movie outside the armouries. Lots of fire trucks and firemen costumes. Not sure the movie is about or what its called. I remember they filmed Residence Evil 2 at Fort York armouries too...

    Basic Para 2005

Oh god, I miss para. Especially the poker and the jokes. I wish i could have finished with you guys. It's too bad, now i have to go through MOC change and wait till 4th year to get my wings, and it's no garantee. If only I had just shut up and leave after finishing ground school I could have...

    Camp So Far

Well I just came home from Cadet Basic Para. It was one of the best yet the toughest times of my life. But the toughest part was leaving the boys that i've "fought" along side for so long. So far, there have been eight guys gone. Three at Connaught for injuries and pt tests. Four at the Mock...

Hey everyone I'm running the Terry Fox run this September in St. Jean Sur Richelieu when I'm attending prep year. I will be doing the full 10 k with a ruck sack. I am hoping to raise 700 dollars this year. To give a little background... My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer a few years...

    The 3 Options

I have been told that if you don't want to do anything else, don't put it down. Also, I have been told...again...that if you choose infantry, they will usually give it to you considering you pass pt, CFAT, and whatnot. This is just what I have been told in regards to ROTP so don't take my word...

The War of 1812 Merged Thread

I have read in a historical account of the Queen's York Rangers that battle honours for the American Revolution were not given out because it was a defeat in the general sense.

Fort York Armoury to be given up by 2031

Anyone heard anything about how this will affect the four Army Cadet corps? I guess they go where their regiments go, right? One idea that most likely will not fly is giving FYA to the cadets. The cadets in Ottawa have their own building that they occupy. It would probably solve alot of problems...
