Well, the stated objective definitely was the never-ending, chimerical pursuit of efficiencies in the face of rising defence costs.
But at the level of personal motivation, I don't think we can discount Hellyer's own unfortunate experiences struggling with inter-service inefficiencies while...
So... just to get your post correctly: you're predicting that if the US intervenes then we'd see a drastic decrease in the use of NBC wpns?
And if the US does not intervene then you're predicting a drastic increase in the use of NBC wpns?
Well, I don't know if the opposite viewpoint - promoting that one cannot be both a good Canadian and a good Muslim - even has the advantage of looking good on paper.
:)
Very well said, sir.
Further to your post, IMHO the potential for reformation is best supported when non-Muslim countries such as Canada promote the inclusiveness of Muslims in general. Then the adoption of our culture can become a viable alternative without compromising religious identity.
Well without taking the discussion of options down any particular lane too early & off the top of my head....
I would imagine the deterrence camp would say their policy:
(a) makes it harder to destroy masses of people,
(b) discourages the use of weapons viewed to be more likely to...
OK fine, with this august assembly of strategic wisdom on hand, I'll play Devil's Advocate on this... WRT framing a response that deters nations from using WMD, what action, if any, should other nations take against Syria?
Well 72 does seem a little high especially if they're so concentrated that you're routinely running into them... but I can't speak for camps and their logic. (Although I expect the ratio sounds off because the bulk of positions were filled by Staff cadets not CAF NCMs and really that's a good...

I don't know if there's any question that the...

No doubt similar to the pub I was looking over.... with the four different frame shapes from 1999; squares are neutral, unknown is.... what was that? Two crossed ovals? Looked like what I do when I'm snowshoeing :)
Anyway, good ol' Blue is friendly, Red or double-lines ain't... so much...
I would think.... looking at the above APP-6A from 1998 and then comparing it to the NBC OP sample provided on p. 14 of the B-GL-331-003 circa 2000, I'd think the triangle (presumably w dismounted recce crossbelt) OP symbol would go inside a (blue) rectangle that indicates Fr status.
(As opposed...
Well, I imagine the CSOR largely fills the role previously tasked to a "commando" unit and isn't called a Commando Regt only because the terminology has shifted to SOF as an umbrella term that reflects deployment into a broader spectrum of ops.
Yet, if we dug up Churchill, with libation in hand...
