We had DM in my rifle coy in '02, and even got C3 issued. Recce Pl and the Sniper Union were quite upset, as usual :) Apparently bolt action rifles and scopes were thought to be too complicated for a Rifle Coy. Pretty sure the recommendation made it into the Lessons Learned documents. Don't...
When the Federal Government tells Ontario they can't transport cars to BC, or that BC can't transport lumber to Saskatchewan, or that NS can't transport lobster to Ontario, then I will believe we are all equally disadvantaged.
What is the downstream environmental impact of the (dwindling)...
Canada needs to work for all Canadians. Free passage of goods across provincial borders, roads, railways and pipelines should all be part of that. I'm a born and raised Albertan, and currently reside here after 33 years service in the CAF. Alberta is at a significant disadvantage under this...
I like the model that would have MPs running TCPs, doing convoy escort, running detention facilities, etc. Dressed like Army guys and doing Army guy things.
Contract the base/city policing stuff out to city cops, RCMP, Provincial Police, etc.
Child soldier. Not charged under Geneva Conventions. Confession attained under torture.
I was a career Infantry Officer and I cannot in good conscience see Khadr not compensated.
Our wounded veterans (I'm not one) should have better access to this kind of compensation too. These...
The Canadian Army, with their pedantic and ridiculous (Micro) Managed (Un) Readiness Plan, have priced themselves out of business. CANSOF makes a point of excelling in, and embracing ambiguity and filling empty space. Is there any doubt why CANSOF continues to grow at the expense of the...
Very bold PuckChaser.... But seriously it is nothing personal. I really like CANSOF.
If I met the aforementioned person on the street we'd shake hands, probably have a beer, and I'd be able tell him the same to his face. He's heard worse from me.
Clearly can be construed as an OPSEC violation. Having managed a few OPSEC programs this would have never have been approved from the perspective of TTPs, capabilities etc.
But I guess when your Commander is a Publicity Whoore savvy brand salesman, anything is up for auction.
Not an individual character assassination, more organizational, and if an individual assassination, then it rests at the top. I guess it all depends on how stringent is your OPSEC policy. I speculate that in "days of old" this would not have seen the light of day.
Some not so great coverage of Gatineau residents on CBC, complaining that "The Army" is too late and should have been deployed earlier. The Army is at fault apparently.
Not the Canadian Armed Forces responsibility for the safety of citizens of Quebec or their property in the face of...
Clearly you need to listen to Sirius XMU and have a couple teenagers in the house! A top song this year...2016 not 1986. :threat:

That is a great link and you can run a whole bunch of scenarios based off of your years of service, and projected years of service, very very easily. They pull up info off of your svc # and the computers do the rest.
So....having very recently retired with almost 33 years service (31.3 Reg Fc), and having had many dealings with PWGSC, the thought of PWGSC managing CAF pensions filled me with a certain amount of unease. I had been told PWGSC were aiming for first pension payment 30-45 days after release...
She is seriously unimpressive having sat through many VTCs with her on ARDENT SENTRY 16......among the least impressive 3 or 4 star Generals i have observed..... and i'm not being a misogynist....just being honest
