armyvern, Sadly, I was informed this summer that 30 is classified as a Cougar.  And here I thought I was still a youngin'.  I still haven't gotten over it...... ;D

There's nothing wrong with having the lower pockets still present.  If wearing armour, don't use them.  This is assuming that the other pockets have been added.  I use the lower pockets for putting weapons parts into while doing a repair in the field, hard to lose them there.

I couldn't agree more with paracowboy!  I think most of you are WAY overanalyzing everything.  Its nice to have a heads up and some info about what you're getting into so that you can make informed decisions on trades, postings, etc.  When it comes to recruit training and what comes after...

To answer the question...yup.  The only reason these places have stayed open is because no one has challenged them to date.  We'll see what happens now.  Watch and shoot.

signalsguy,  they are still trialing them to my knowledge as a friend of mine in Ottawa is involved in the trial.  He wore them all summer on course and seemed to like them as well. 

Any comments from the maintenance side?  I'd be interested in hearing how the ex went for them.

In regards to the animals, my bet is that the Veterinary Emergency Reponse teams have been deployed.  What they can do right now is probably very little but as things return more to normal I'm sure they will be accomplishing alot in helping the animals that did survive.  More may survive than...
