    High school education is obsolete

While the author of the article goes way too far I do agree that the ceremonies attached to high school graduation have gotten a bit out of hand.  Some parents/children spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on gowns, suits, rental cars, parties, etc.  I think its a bit over the top for...

    St Jean, needs changes?

I went through Cornwallis in 1988.  I had a Navy Master Seaman as a squad NCO.  He was an excellent instructor, taught us drill, military knowledge, etc.  We didn't have him for weapons training (C1 at the time) and wish I had as the weapons instructor wasn't that great.  During the week in the...

    STD's

bled, If this is an actual issue rather than a generic question I would suggest you go see a doctor and or contact public health about this right away and PAY for a test if necessary.  I don't recall ever being tested for STD's in the military as a routine thing.

    Weapons Tech Lifestyle

Genesis, While Weapons Tech is an excellent trade you are playing with alot of what ifs.  If you get posted to a first line unit, if you get posted to a quiet spot as you get older.  They always ask you where you want to go and they often post you to the total opposite of what you asked for. ...

Compulsary Regular Force Service for Reservists for Deployment Opportunities

GO, I can answer part of your question in relation to weapons techs.   Reservists do the same training on the QL courses as the reg force in small arms.   The problems crops up that they are not trained on the armament side.   This could certainly be fixed by sending them on a two month...

    I apologize for the confusion.

Fry, You have admitted your error and that is much more than many people will do.  While I disagree with you strongly you have demonstrated by this post that you wish you consider it water under the bridge.  As Armymedic stated it was not your stance but the way you chose to get your point...

    Medical Uses of Ketamine?

Medic,  I agree with you regarding induction with propofol.  An excellent anesthetic and extremely short acting.  Do you see apnea very often?

    Medical Uses of Ketamine?

Thanks Medic for the info.  Just curious as I mentioned before that it causes pronounced limb rigidity in animals to the point that they look like they have tetanus.  We usually use a 1:1 of Ketamine and valium.  Do you always use atropine or glycopyrolate as well as it doesn't cross the BBB?
