I got the same notice!
I had been told that my course was going to start on May 26 - but now it‘s starting on May 21 @ Gagetown. No firms dates on when it finishes though....
What‘s up with all these changes?!?
Gabriel
Hi all,
A friend of mine is looking to join up in the reserves - specifically logisitcs, like me. He will have no problem meeting all the requirements but suffers from mild asthma.
It is nothing that causes attacks, but makes it slighltly harder to run if he does not use an inhaler. Will this...
Humint,
I had been told that those with a degree would be bumped up to 2Lt. immediately most of the time.
However, discretion lies completely with the CO.
Upon completion of BOTP(R) and CAP(R) you are promoted to 2lt regardless - as you are a qualified to be an officer. MOC training is not...
Trynagog:
I am going in for Reserve Logisitcs officer with a unit in Montreal. I am in law school eith the intention (if all works out) of joining the JAG when I graduate.
Mark,
I am also slated to do BOTP (R) and CAP (R) this summer. I‘m joining from a montreal unit, you?
As for glasses/contacts - I have the same issue.
I had been told that contact lenses were ok for the most part. I have ‘extended wear‘ lenses that I just got. You can wear them for up to 30...
Hi,
You‘re a luck guy! It took me 4 weeks to get my CFAT, Medical, and Interview all done....
Good luck....
I am waiting for the call.... It‘s sooo long.
But as they say in the army - HURRY UP AND WAIT :)
Gabriel
Hi!
I am sure its the same everywhere. The info session is just that - information.
They will privde a group of you with information on commitment, training, officers and NCMs.
There will be no tests until you formally apply!
I hope that helps.
I wanted to start a thread for those working in Logisitcs.
It is the field in which I am entering and I wanted to know if anyone had some information or experience relating to the branch that they wished to share.
It‘s not as ‘glamorous‘ as the combat arms, but it is a real necessity!
Illucigen: Thank you kindly for correcting me... It was just that a RegFor WO had told me that they were essentially the same thing. I guess he may be wrong....
I had been told that officers and NCMs trained together as the basics are the basics for everyone - whether you are a private or a...
I had heard that the BMQ was in Gagetown this summer. Maybe June 9... ish... Not too sure. Still waiting to be sworn in so that I can find it exactly what‘s going on...
Can anyone post the dates for the BMQ (Montreal Area) and the CAP (R)
Thanks!
Well,
I wanted to know if and when you did / or are doing your training? Are you an officer or NCM?
Do you like the RMR? Do you know anything about the 712ieme Comms?
I‘m just starved for any information I can get. It‘s hard to find anything out on my end...
I am, apparently, joining the...
Hi All,
I am new to this site and to the military. I will be sworn in soon and I wanted to know what to expect.
I am going into the reserves as an officer. Into logisitcs - my vision is crap (V4). Is there anybody here from the Montreal/Quebec area who has done the BMQ/BMOQ?
Anybody here with...
