Is this a West coast thing, a Navy thing or a just short RMS clerks in general thing? I am currently filling in for an RMS clerk and was told there was a "shortage" too...
I have to format a bilingual document (the side by side) format, and its not going very well.
Is there an aide-memoire or a link (I tried googleing it) or something that would point to how it should be laid out?
I marched with my cadets in Victoria. Unfortunately I had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction on the march, which was very poor on my part, but had that squared away before the regimental remembrance day service. It was humbling to be there, my first remembrance day after being in KAF. Good turnout...
Or...........
Timmies Worker burns hand while pouring coffee during rocket attack ;)
(insert civilian cleaner if you wish)
I agree with Loachman. I have only seen a wound stripe once and it was a lot more striking than the wearer's medals.
I'm not really sure actually, sometime in late may - june. It was sent by somebody else. I know I addressed it, but my house didn't get any notices to pick it up from the postman (or final notices, or whatever). I figured 'cause it was a big box of stuff it might take longer for it to go due...
a tip -
Make a resume that shows your life experience / jobs and past CCO experience (do it in a functional format).
Its not required, but helps to give the CO a picture of you before he's met you. I made one that showed my skills from outside cadets and as I got more skills in the...
Personally, for me I usually email the corps CO, and follow up using a phone call.
Parade nights can be a zoo for everyone - especially if there's something special going on and showing up at 6 30 when the sqn is about to fall in and the CO is being bombarded by parents and the sponsoring...
Anyone out there have an email contract for them? I have a friend who was searching on the DIN for me but she got sidetracked.
I had a parcel sent from KAF to here a while ago and it never arrived. It was sent after I left and had all my nice treasures in it. Of course, I think I'm probably...
the james bay teahouse is a good (lower cost) place for tea - same with the bletheringplace in oak bay. Both will run you about 18 bucks at the most.
stroll around beacon hill park perhaps, rent a bike and bike the galloping goose trail.
checkout priceline.com for some good deals, make sure...
I met him at KAF, he's a nice guy.
One day I show up for the am shift and whose there? the Padre, he decided he wanted to work at timmies with us. So he made doubld doubles, and singles, and served donuts...............etc. He worked better than a few of my co-workers and it was fun working...
according to picutres it is shorter, however I think my pants (I have to order super long ones to fit and get them tailored) makes my tunic look shorter than it is.
I've been told my tunic is too short - it reaches to the bottom of the pockets - and was told on no uncertain tems that "its in the dress regs and you should have known this blah blah blah" Yet I've done a search and I can't seem to find it........is there a correct length?
When I was at Mirage for Christmas, there was a small table set to the side of the dining area that was in honour of the fallen - the PMC read out what each item signified. Does anyone have the text for this? the only one I could find while googling was for a Vietnam POW from the US.
I have been employed as a "Class A Linguistic Quality Advisor" as a CIC officer...............the people at the translation bureau translate and I get to make sure the terms fit with the CF and Cadet Program common usage.
