There was one guy who was pretty swtiched on, but he did a 3-4 year stint in 3 Para, and when they found out, they kicked him off the show because you weren't allowed to have prior military experience.

Umm are you sure it was a VO2 max test? I've heard of people blowing into tubes before but it was to test lung capacity, which isn't the same thing. Long distance running, and wind sprints should help increase your VO2 level.

Man, I wish we lost some people on my BMQ.  I have no idea how some of the people I was on course with are going to make it through their MOC training.  the only people we lost was due to injuries.

You may end up just having to deal with it after a while. Right after a shower seems to work well for me, and make sure you use a sharp razor. I still get razor burn tho, even when I do use warm water, sharp blade and after shave.  I've found that if you buy some Tea Tree oil and use it before...

The snowbirds shold definitly be kept around.  They are a great for publisizing the CF, but it is unforunite that accidents happen and people do sometimes die.  It's time for some new planes.  They are representing the CF and although its probably not possible to use F-18's, using trainers ...

No. Penicillin is fine since there are a number of other medicines available.  Do you have a medic alert? If not I would suggest you get one. I just where mine all the time to make sure if something happens, the doc knows not to use penicillin.

I haven't had a problem with my gortex boots just the sock system.  i find my feet sweat with the black (polypro?) sock and then as soon as I stop, freeze.  So im just going to try to wear 2 normal socks instead and see how that works out.

That works if you actually have an empty spot to put the mags.  We are normally issued 5 full mags on ex's, so thats one in the rifle, and 4 in the vest.  So you would have to put that first mag down somewhere, take one out of the vest, reload, then replace the mag back into the vest, and now...
