I clearly understand that but according to one of their senior cadets they have permission to break some of the CATOs because of their rapid growth.

Which CATOs are they breaking? One of their MWOs was a WO in my company this year and he put it like this- "When you have a corps of over 220 then a CATO that is made for a corps of 40 cadets is not going to apply."

Lanny Kirlin is a Captain in the CIC, I believe with 2754 in Downsview. I think he aged out around 1994/95 because I know he did Para around that time.

What makes you able to dictate which discussions are useful and which are not? Although this discussion is not useful to you it could be very useful to the cadets on this board. Anyways there is no problem in Mandal asking the user to fill out his profile.

It sounds like the companies are mixed courses i.e. mixing Adventure with PERT. At Blackdown there are 11 companies Alpha through Kilo, with each company having 4 platoons. Each company is one course except for Juliet and Kilo which are band companies and they have Basics, CLs and CLIs in them.

How many companies are there at Vernon and are the CLI courses full companies or just platoons within companies?

Did he retire after this summer? I know he was at Blackdown this summer as the camp DSM. He looked like he was still in the reserves at that time, as he wore 31 CER Slip ons with MWO on it. Thanks

Two years ago at Blackdown my adult sergeant major was an Elgin. He wore MWO slip ons but I think he was a CWO. Does anybody know a CWO Donaldson?

Nope it was a drill cane that he made for himself. Were you not a basic that year? If you were you would not have been on Battalion parade. The drill cane he did make was passed on to CWO Sheppard this year.

For the past two years the RSM of Blackdown has carried a drill cane and all the CSMs pace sticks.
