Skydex Helmet Pad Kit - LOTS of pictures

I found mine better in the heat than the standard suspension. It all depends on how you have the pads set up, but they way mine were set allowed air flow up into the helmet. Additionally when the pads were sweaty it was easy to remove them and either hand wash or throw them in the washer. HUGE...

    Making Combat Clothing Better

I really like the idea of the crye esque shirt. Would it be possible for any Cadpat dealer to produce such a beast in AR?

New TT vest for the CF???

I would try to stick with AR or Tan, but that being said I have a couple ranger green rigs that I am just going to paint. Krylon works fine for altering the color.

New TT vest for the CF???

The "there will be no non-issue kit in theater" statment seems to be continually made by deploying battle groups, yet once in theater after the first TIC it seems that non issue stuff is good to go? Seems to me this is just screwing the boys by a) not allowing them to train with kit they will...

New TT vest for the CF???

Mike, Do you know what weapon system you will be carrying? Once you know that it is pretty easy to start setting up a rig just based around base level requirments i.e. IFAK pouches etc. Ammo loadout on your vest is fairly standard and the beauty of a modular system is it can reconfigured. To...

Skydex Helmet Pad Kit - LOTS of pictures

In terms of having to turn the helmet in, you can easily re-insert the issue suspension system. This isn't a permanent mod. You don't have to change the chin strap, so no hole drilling or anything required. The issue suspension just pops out, set it in a safe place to gather dust, and when u get...

Skydex Helmet Pad Kit - LOTS of pictures

Jamtorky - The straps I have on my helmet are made by a company called OPs-Core they can be found at www.ops-core.com I had the Oregon Aero in my helmet overseas and did not like it. I found that the plastic on it broke and the straps did not stay tight. IMHO the issue chin strap is superior to...

CP Gear Mag Pouch - LOTS of pictures

Obviously  I haven't had long term use of this pouch, but from my understanding the buckle is made by nexus, the same company that makes higher end side release buckles. Nexus has a great reputation for making good quality kit. I think that it will last, as there isn't a "hollow" area like you...

CP Gear Mag Pouch - LOTS of pictures

Hi guys, I recently received a trial version of a mag pouch that CP Gear is planning on producing, to T&E. The mag pouch that I received is a triple, but has shock cord to control the size, so it can be used as a double. The pouch I received, being a trial, was not divided internally, however I...

Skydex Helmet Pad Kit - LOTS of pictures

Hi guys, Recently Matt at CP Gear sent me a set of skydex pads to T&E. I used Oregon Aero pads during my tour in Afghanistan and am a HUGE supporter of helmet upgrade systems. My pad system was hands down the best kit purchase I made before I left. Fast Forward 9 months and I am back at home in...

    Patrol sling?

I highly recommend Blue Force Gear Slings. They are excellant quality, well built and thought out designs and very cost effective. The best part is that you can use the same sling with several different weapons just by changing the adaptors. CP Gear carries them and OneShot carries them.

New TT vest for the CF???

if its just a trial then dont bank on getting one. I would say with something as important as your load bearing gear its worth buying and training with.

    Close Protection Training

Does anyone know why this isnt open to infantry? I know in Canada CP is more geared towards MP's, but in theater it seems like an infantry specialty to me.

    Reserves on Reg Force courses.

Like PPLCI Guy was saying it is more common. For TF 1-08 a PCF cycle began in the Fall-New yearish time frame. There are guys from my unit on LAV drvr, gnr, crew commander courses as we speak, as well as guys teaching the same course. Additionally we have one troop on his recce course. These...

    Latest tease the soldier kit

Looking on the website it now states that the rucksack is in contracting. Not that I am expecting much, based on the small pack, but does anyone in the know have any idea when it will start being issued?
