What about trades that do not have a QL5, do they receive their spec pay upon completion of their respective QL3?  or will there be a set time of OJT?

Thank You Ghost for the SOP's while using this site.  I am a newbie at this site and is great to have the advice. 

I remember during gun camp with the Leopard C1 having 13 rounds in the ready rack, we would go through them in an aweful hurry.  It was a hassle just to keep the ready rack full using the rounds from the ammo bin, and we carried 53 rounds!!  I cannot imagine what kind of nightmare it would be to...

Just curious, upon completion of your QL3, are you immediately posted to Ottawa, or are there other postings available, i.e. Kingston? 

I alway leave my poppy at the Cenotaph after the parade, I pin it to a wreath.  After pinning the poppy, I step back come to attention salute as per the drill of laying a wreath.  Any units I have served with this has been the unit SOP.  Then its off to the Legion for a pint with the Veterans...

When I did my QL3 we all where qualified on MLVW (medium load vehicle wheeled), after completing QL3, we then where loaded on our PCF (Primary Combat Function) course, I chose Leopard Gunner, my reason is that I joined the armoured to be qualified on tanks.  Others from my QL3 chose Cougar...

Lots of sweeping the hangar and pad, coffee breaks, then sweep the hangar and pad again.  In the summer time we are really lucky we get to wash the hangar floors.  Seriously, the real fun happens in the field, but garrison is usually maintain the vehicles and cleaning.  Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me about the Geomatics Trade?  What kinds of postings are there?  Do they do any other types of engineer taskings besides map stuff?  Where does the course take place Gagetown or somewhere else?  How long is the course?  Thank you for your help.
