France is a proponent of Europe moving ahead without fealty to the U.S.

Particularly of note, his position on nuclear deterrence: (particularly germain to the juxtaposition of the old deterrence...
Putting this here since most closely related to European security mindedness.

My take: Vance’s previous message at the 2025 MSC, with a bit of Rubio’s ‘Dr.Evil’s love of his son...
I doubt it. UK is a vassal nuclear nation of the US. The U.S. completely controls the Trident nuclear capabilities of the UK. Essentially a non-conventional extension of U.S. nuclear capability stationed/pre-positioned in the European AO.

I think *members of his staff know exactly why Canada is in no rush to ‘deal a deal’ with the U.S. - SCOTUS decision still not issued, USMCA negotiations not yet formally kicked off, any number of behind-the-scenes whispering campaigns to make issues out of non-issues.…the list goes on. A...
Rafale the only reasonable option that is not controlled by the US, but that has categorically proved interoperable up to and including integrated operations from a USN nuclear carrier.
