We have guys in my unit ( me included ) who have multiple tours overseas but have never taken SQ, LET, or a specific BMQ(land). I don't imagine that they will be going on SQ anytime soon so there will continue to be guys deploying who have little to no combat training.

You'd have to find one that was sober .......and I just don't have that kind of time.  ;D

Hank. The Sgt Maj is an outstanding soldier with a hell of alot of experiance to draw from ( including time at DHTC ). He was a WO at the school and is well aware of the state of the facilities there but new buildings ect is well above a WOs head. The sqn in Pet has been working in early 1900s...

Except that they are promoting more than 100 per year ( 116 rumoured this year and 100+ for the last 2 years ) and there are not that many at the "imediate" stage. They might like to have no more acting lacking but if they want to fill the slots and positions ( by rank ) then they have no choice.
