Why you chose to attend RMC?

Fair enough, but those senior barmen that you do know must only be saying negative things about RMC. I only say that because it seems you've never said a positive thing about the College. I'm sure your RMC friends must have some positive things to say... Granted, some people go through hating...

Why you chose to attend RMC?

I see it quite simply between RMC and CivvyU. Attending RMC gets you ahead in the military side of the house as you will be living and learning with many other OCdts with whom you will serve upon being commissioned. Your OPMEs are already done, and upon graduation will hold a bilingual profile...

Why you chose to attend RMC?

You call me naive, then you call my College a breeding ground for stupidity. Really?.... You make it seem like you did just the bare minimum. Well most people here don't like the pillbox either, and it's probably a good thing we don't go to school in our scarlets. I haven't the foggiest...

Why you chose to attend RMC?

Good for you. Doesn't change that fact that I still see that as skiving your duties. As an ROTP officer you should at least look the part. I'm sure others share that opinion. Call it holding yourself to a higher standard. Wanna cookie? It's a good thing that fake IDs are pertinent while...

Why you chose to attend RMC?

The parties, girls, and beer still happens. Hell, my first few free weekends after FYOP were spent at CivyU parties with some other RMC friends. I figure that as a ROTP student and future scroll-holding officer, one should be no different in dress and deportment than RMC students while in an...

    Air Force Forage Cap

Well today was the RMC change of command parade, with Cdre Truelove taking over from BGen Lawson. In the crowd there was several officers of the air variety, with at least 2 wearing forage caps. And they were RegF, not CIC. If only both Generals on the dias were wearing them as well, but I...

    My Beret

Members here don't take too kindly to being called an ignorant ass. IMHO, the beret should be worn somewhat high in the back of the head, to allow for enough material to pull down towards your right eye. You should NOT be able to see those little metal grommets. That means your beret band is...

Armoured Light Recce Vehicle for PRes Armd? (Merged splits from LAV III MGS and from TAPV)

How does their ORBAT compare to 12RBC and RCD? I understood the Strats to be no bigger than the other 2 regiments, not including E Coy (PPCLI), but even that shouldn't throw the balance out of whack.

    What is webbing?

Along with the [shitty green garbage bag] rain gear and OD "goretex" cold weather coat right? Because I seem to have all 3, with only the webbing, of all things, being in good condition.

HMCS Ville De Quebec - 67 year old navy frigate is coming to Oshawa (!)

http://www.oshawaexpress.ca/story1868.html By Lindsey Cole The Oshawa Express Apparently Lindsay Cole didn't do her homework properly... I won't even touch the fact she has what one could discern as HMCS preceded by "The." In any case, VDQ is going to Oshawa in September. I hope she stops...

CF Forming "Yellowknife Company" of Loyal Edmonton Regiment

Well last I looked, Cdr P****** was in charge. With the XO and StdsO, LCdr V** *********, both LCdrs, with 4 2-ringers plus the Padre, another 2-ringer. Plus the Subbies.

CF Forming "Yellowknife Company" of Loyal Edmonton Regiment

How's this for a little anecdote. Last year at the Battle of the Atlantic Parade, HMCS NONSUCH paraded 35-40. 12 of them were officers. That's pretty top heavy. And something tells me that echos the reality in the RegF.

    Applying from outside Canada (Merged)

You sound like one of my friends who's entering 2nd year at RMC right now. He lived down south for 4 years, and got into RMC quite easily. But things do change from year to year.

What are you trying to say? Stop beating around the bush. IIRC 4 Wing has an air reserve flight in Edmonton.

Mandatory to live on campus in University?

They could be referring to your contract length, not your obligatory service. My contract is 13 years (13 yr VIE) but I only need to serve 5 years oblig. service after graduation.

Lawmakers pressure US Navy to fix shipbuilding practices

Seems to me that the CNO already has a handle on the problem.
