Hey...I have returned home from work, only to find packages sitting on my front step, and I have never been asked for ID when picking something up at the post office. So, none of these stories really surprise me. I have been at work in street clothes, and been handed packages in the parking lot...

AFAIK.....the RCMP has a recruiting problem of its own. They have a target of 2000 new members per year over the next 5 years, and are having problems meeting that quota. Also more members are retiring than they can replace. While they receive many applications, only a fraction of those actually...

For those that might be in the area.... There will be a RED RALLY in New Glasgow on Friday, November 17th at the Glasgow Square. The alternate site is at the John Brother MacDonald Stadium, in case of inclement weather. The rally will begin at 1100 hours.

A neighbor of mine just left for training at the age of 43....My brother in law was a shift supervisor at a detachment, and was a corporal and the youngest on the shift....at 41....won't get accepted if you don't apply.

Medical and interview done.....recruiter told me that I may be sworn in in the next couple of weeks.

Just wondering, how receptive is the RCMP to its civilian employees serving in the CF. I am involved in the hiring process for a civilian position, and I am wondering if my service in the PRes will affect my job with the RCMP, if I am successful with the process.

Just received a call from the CFRC in Halifax on Thursday. I have an appointment for my medical and interview on 01 NOV. Not bad....5 weeks after my application package was delivered.
