Daftandbarmy's right. It's as wet as I've seen it here on the island in the 28 years I've lived here. One of my favoured bits of issued kit for this area is the gore tex sock. Waterproof to the knee, they can be a good morale booster when crossing the myriad streams and water features in our...
I can't tell you a darn thing about the course, but Victoria is a great place to live. What activities are you into? Short of running with bulls and bear baiting, we have almost everything here. Let us know what you like to do, and I'm sure us locals on the board can help you find a spot to go.
Just started Mockingjay, the 3rd in the Hunger Games series. I was quite surprised at how well developed the story is in this series.Totally engrossing, which I don't usually feel while reading books of the genre.

I carry a small alpine stove, and generally a small Bialetti espresso machine as well. I can have two shots cooked, served and the equipment stowed in under 7 minutes. It's a great way to stave off the effects of inclement weather, or the morale suppression team. It's usually only there on...
I was there last year too, and will be happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my knowledge. For us on the LFWA Reserve Squad, we qualified at the BCRA shoot in Chilliwack in early June. The top 20 were called first, but as not everyone was available for summer training and...
