Trust me i have tried, but my employer does not realise the signifigance of military training i have even tried to work with CFLC and our battle captain to try to get them to give me time, but anything we have done has fallen on deaf ears. I've been fighting with my civy job for 9 years now...

Yeah i have done alot of what you said, and i even work for a civic department, but they say they can't spare the man power and that reserves is my hobby and this is my job and i should think about whats more important. I have 12 years in and i'm not about to give it all up because of a civy...

Do any of the Reg guys in here think that by making all Reserve armoured Regiments the guys who carry out the "mud recce" is a good idea. I think it would free up alot more of the Reg guys to work on the Coyotes and the MBT's, because i don't think you will ever see a reserve recce regiment...

TCP's(traffic control points) and convoy escort are secondary tasks we do in our Regiment, they help to develop your skills further and add a little more excitment than sitting in an OP all day lol. Depending on what phase your in, the Advance or the Defensive will determine what secondary task...

It's actually possible for Reservists who are armoured to get there jump course, don't know about about being fully airborne qualified, but i know a couple guys in the Sask D's who got there jump course.

I think the Gwagens will be a good "mud recce" vehicle, as long as they give it some good armament like a MK19 auto grenade launcher or a 50.cal in the turret,but i guess time will tell. :cdn:

They should re-write the new doctrine to include a 8 car recce troop of G-wagens and 2 LAVS or Strykers to use in support, think about it having a Coyote with a serv kit, they could cover you for miles your first bound after leaving the LOD could be like 10 km, plus if the new g-wagens get...

Does any one else have a real problem getting time off of work to do military training, those of you who are reservists anyways, and does any one have a plausible solution for making it easier to get time off, any comment would be appreciated, Cheers :cdn:
