    Cfrc ottawa

I've always had an excellent experience with the staff when I went to CFRC Ottawa, however I do agree getting through to them via telephone is often quite difficult and would sometimes take an hour of straight calling.

Enhanced Reliability Check (ERC) - Merged

If I can say one thing about the application process is that youre going to have to fill out many different forms all with similar information on each one, but the personal data verification is the one that Garda (CF hires them to perform this check) will be looking at and contacting your...

I also filled out the personal data verification form that ValhrafN referred too and also had the option to check said boxes. This was just a week ago for my interview

    Question regarding medical questionnaire

I was honest and the appropriate box was checked yes, I just forgot some minor details about the overall experience and am worried that this willl be seen as lying. Like I said it doesnt change anythig about the facts, just that weve spoke to different medical professionals for therapy.

    Question regarding medical questionnaire

Hey everyone I think I truly messed up my shot at a career in the CF when I did my medical examination. During the written medical questionnaire I checked "yes" to the box asking if I have ever been to a social worker, psychiatrist etc. I was honest about everything, that was the only yes box I...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

I applied for Infantry over a year ago, did my CFAT in April was put "on hold" due to lack of processing and finally did my medical and interview last week, about a full year after applying. Of course your mileage may vary but I doubt it will be super quick. Take advantage of the time to...

    References Superthread [Merged]

I do have all my references permission, however for workplace history I'm unable to obtain my supervisors email address however I have their phone numbers, and two of my references were teachers so they decided not to provide their daytime numbers at work.

    References Superthread [Merged]

Is it a huge deal if some data is missing for references and workplace history? Just small things like email addresses and some of my references only provided a evening telephone number.

ADHD, ADD, and why we can't get in rants......

I agree that someone who truly suffers from chronic issues like depression and anxiety should be "discriminated" against in one way or another when attempting to get into high stress careers such as the military. It is truly unfortunate; but with the amount of issues already in the CF such as...

How long does an application stay on hold for?

The one I received in July came from: [email protected] It said: Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in the Canadian Armed Forces as a future career. We are unable to make a decision at this time regarding further processing for your preferred occupation(s). This is...

That is the case for me, and I have received two emails from the CFRG since, which I described in my earlier post.

How long does an application stay on hold for?

Well, I got the same email that OP got today. So I am assuming a decision has been made to process my application further (medical/interview), however it will not be done at the current time due to trade availability. That's how I interpret it.

How long does an application stay on hold for?

I got the same email today, I applied back in Feburary and wrote my CFAT in April. I received a very similar email to this in July, and then the exact one you received today. The only difference between the one I received in the summer and the one I received today was that the other one...

Being for fired or let go for enlisting?

I guess I must have got lucky, my employer was aware I'm currently in the application process before I was even offered the job. I often have discussions with my boss and coworkers very openly about my desires to join the military as well. It's actually quite hard for me to even keep it a secret...

Does the CF contact applicants via email or mail?

Hello, I am supposed to hear from my CFRC concerning further processing of my file and was wondering if I should be checking my postal mail, or my email as I have recieved no emails yet regarding the topic and I do not exactly have the most easy access to my mail. Thanks for your time

    A little bit confused :/

I think you're right about proving that you have improved your education but isnt that only when you go for a third attempt?

    A little bit confused :/

Well the way the system now works is that you basically have to surpass the minimum score on the CFAT for your chosen occupation(s) by X amount for the CFRC to continue on with your processing (med/interview). The recruiters tend not to disclose specific digits when it comes to the CFAT, at...
