Canadian Press: Canadian Artillery obsolete and inaccurate

Plans? S**t just happens, usually right after the guy who made the decision got re posted.

would this make the milcot more viable?

I loath Wainwright, and that is wher CMTC is.

    LSVW Replacement

Replace the LS and ML with the appropriate size of FMTV. Or we can try to stock parts for and maintain a large variety of trucks.

Lt. Turner, Cpl. Dinning, Bdr. Mansell, and Cpl. Payne Killed- April/ 21/ 2006

I am sure everyone in the forces knows four soldiers were just killed in Afghanistan. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20060416/afghanistan_soldier_060422?hub=TopStories&s_name=&no_ads= One of them was my friend. I can say that Bdr Myles Mansell will be missed by his...

First Canadian killed in gun battle since Korea????

Canada sent troops to the US as part of an exchange program. Those same troops were rotated to Vietnam (Canada cut their checks the US provided Uniforms). Those who came back have huge JTF2 style holes in their record of service. Chances are some didn't make it back and we will never know.

    Ignorance of civvies...

What is wrong with drawing a line in the sand and saying we will not deploy anyone younger than 18? As for joining and training at 16 with parental consent I do not see a problem.

    Anyone Know a Good Tent?

Single wall tents are only good in the high mountains when it is really cold and dry. They build up a ton of frost on the inside, if you get a good wind going it will get knocked free and start snowing inside the tent (IMHO best for fast short pushes). MEC carries some of the best tents going...

When I was in the states the Army had nothing bad to say about the FMTVs. I can bitch for days about the MLVW so .......... Also it is a nice truck to drive, imagine that.

    Ontario Health "Premium"

Wow $40 a month that is crazy money. I am sure people are going to plan their lives around a tank of gas. "I was going to get out but how can I say no to $40 a month?"

    Explosion at Tim Hortons

Hoping for a terror attack? While you are at it lets hope a high tension power line fails and kills a bus load of kids so as to remind Canadians of the danger electricity poses. Wow, do you watch Fox News or are you just "special"? I am going to hang onto my rights and enjoy my life as I see...

Stewart and Stevenson with the FMTV. http://www.army.mil/fact_files_site/fmtv/index.html But why buy a proven vehicle which is built (along with it's spare parts) nex door? Oh right because it is a smart thing to do.

    Russia Gave Intel To Saddam

Hope these documents are better than the ones they had relating to Iraq's huge NBCW program. Fox makes CNN seem like a reliable unbiased news source, and that is hard to do.

    Dead soldier's home vandalized

The difference between the US bible belt and the Islamic hardliners is very small. They just can't seem to see past the blind hatred so as to team up and control the world. I have no patience for either telling me how to think. Radical church group debussing in open, VT in effect, Adjust Fire.

    pt recoup

You can work out 7 days a week. However after working a muscle to failure you must allow it to rest for 48-72 hours before working the muscle to failure again. If you never let your muscles recover you will keep sliding backwards performance wise instead of making gains. If you want to bounce...

    front hand gard on C-6

The way I see it you should be able to fire the Carl G from the hip so they should put some extra handles and triggers on it as well. Sarcasm level is high, very high

    RNZN Protector Project" Vessels

The problem with Canadian shipyards is not so much in the workers as the purchasers. It is not a matter of starting production and delivering a ship every year to replace ships as they reach the end of their service lives. Instead we order a large batch of ships to be delivered in a short period...

Bilingualism levels at defence HQ 'insufficient,' audit says

Wow being able to say my marksmanship training is lacking in both official languages. What a goal, far better than building a capable deployable military that speaks the same language as the rest of NATO.

would this make the milcot more viable?

According to Willy's post they are "upgrading" to another highway tire because the last ones sucked off road.
