    DUI - Effects on Joining?

If you didn't take responsibility for it in the first place, odds are that it would have only been a matter of time before you were proven guilty, so that really doesn't change things at all. When Brihard said that most people aren't criminals, he was referring to other applicants, so I don't...

    Application and Selection Process

There is no specific degree for pilot, so psychology will do.

    Infantry/Cadets

According to your numbers, two out of three full time reservists are sergeants or above. I would call that the vast majority, but I guess the term could be open to interpretation. Either way, the OP wouldn't be joining as a corporal, so these numbers shouldn't be a concern to him.

    Infantry/Cadets

Majority = most = biggest number = what you just posted Not too many people get employed full time with the reserves before they even complete BMQ, which would be the case for the OP.

    Infantry/Cadets

First of all, the vast majority of "full time" reservists are senior NCOs and some Officers. If you join, don't expect to attend training more then one or two nights a week and every second weekend (for BMQ). You should also take note that component transfers often take much longer than you...

    Uniforms at CMR

Yes, this conversation did end a few months ago, but it never hurts to throw in some pertinent information. For anyone who is interested in the different uniforms at RMC, follow these four steps: 1) http://www.forces.ca/interactive/rmc/kingston/index.html 2) English (or French) 3) Leadership...

Officer occupations – Which one should I choose?

Common sense would say to phone the recruiting centre and ask.

    RMC with fiance and baby??

More of an obvious statement as opposed to a catch, considering it's almost April and he's just "thinking" about attending.  :P

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Just being in cadets is a start, but what will really help your application in terms of giving you an edge over others is what you have accomplished in the program. Being the RSM of your corps, being on different corps teams, holding a position of authority during summer training, and...

    Medical Release - CIC Officer

If there is one standard, explain the reason why an infantry soldier must have V3 while a vehicle technician only needs V4? There is one standard for each occupation and that is dependent upon their role.

    Medical Release - CIC Officer

Because the role of the CIC is to instruct cadets, not to deploy overseas.

Don't you think it would be too late if the selection date passes and you still haven't completed the entire process?

I'm not in the CIC, but wouldn't this mean they have their own medical standards?

    ROTP Deadline

My apologies, but if the OP were to not complete the CFAT, interview, and medical in time for selection, which is very soon, then it's obviously too late.

    ROTP Deadline

You also have to do your CFAT, interview, and medical, so I'm sorry to say, you don't have any time left for that since the selection for ROTP is in less than a month.

    Application process during highschool

I know many people who got their first choice coming right out of high school and without much else on their resume, so it's not as competitive as your making it out to be. Is there a point your trying to make with this comment?

    Application process during highschool

What I said was that yes, having a degree does help, but if you don't have one, then your chances of getting in aren't ruined, in fact, many people in the Forces have no form of post-secondary education at all.

I don't know what to do about Post-Secondary! Help!

Many people who join the Forces as NCMs do not have any post-secondary education. It will certainly not hold you back if you don't have a degree, but having one will make you more competitive. Have a read through this forum, since it is practicaly identical to this one...
