The paving of Hyena (From OP KHYBER all the way to MUSHAN) was the main effort from my tour (they even made a movie about it ;)) Anyways we started construction and paving in Nov 2010 and it lasted right up until the end of the tour in July 2011.
The way that I read this:
"According to court martial transcripts, Miller had been awarded the medals following an overseas deployment, but she was not authorized to wear them in Canada, which is something the military takes very seriously."
It seems she could have been given a foreign medal...
Roger they will be in Hi-vis, but will it be a unit identify flash (as in a piece of cloth) or just the letters will be directly embroidered in the patch.
Anyone on here know if the new rank velcro patch will have unit "hi-vis" identifiers sewn on (similar to what we have now) or will the unit name be sewn directly onto the patch? I'm thinking of ordering one from CP gear since I'm getting tired of wearing Canada.
Thanks.
Having the new top (and having to wear CANADA instead of unit identifier cause they aren't ready yet ), I noticed no real difference under FFO (plates and all). I do like the flat pockets for the chest and hips. The pen holders are useless though. Also the velcro wrist straps are a...
They do realize that we will still need the old slip on style ranks for our rain and ICE jackets right? Or is there a plan to put velco patches on those jackets sometime in the future?
So I heard today that the new ECU tops are actually in the QMs and ready to be distributed out. However they are waiting until the new officer ranks are available (which last I heard the switch was going to be Nov 11th). Which begs the question, why aren't the NCMs receiving them yet? Anyone...
As I am sure you are already aware, RMC has four pillars (or components I think they are called now). Academics, Military, Bilingualism and Athletics. Not necessarily in that order, but I would say (unfortunately) according to the RMC the most important being Academics. By your short post I...
I am curious to see if out of the 63 Army regiments that are to receive theatre honours, if this includes RCHA and 5e RALC regiments. If I am not mistaken, Queen Victoria had decided long ago that artillery regiments were to be given the holistic "Ubique" battle honour since they were...
And another imposter posing a picture saying he just returned from Kandahar with his troops on Reddit. I know the guy in the picture and he does not do Reddit, and also the picture dates from 2011. Some people's kids...
I'm no expert in this field but our Career Manager was saying that they were waiting for the budget to come out to find out how much money they had for their cost moves.
There are a lot of post-nominals that should be just for a particular situation.
Like rmc, is an official post-nominal if you graduated the four-pillars under the ROTP. But you don't see many Officers in the CAF writing rmc after their name.
The three reg force regt's have two batteries each of 4 M777s + 2 for backups, so 10 M777s per regiment. W bty at the RCAS has at least 2, they may have 4 I don't remember. And there are 2 in Borden I believe for courses for maintainer types.
There are talks of getting self-propelled 120mm...
Anyone know if there are any other changes to the mess kit being made with the changing of the ranks? i.e.: gold bullion replacement of the epaulettes, etc.
Thanks.
