I found the specialty specifications list posted by MedCorps in another thread to be quite interesting, in particular the ones for MARS I quoted above. Basic Space Operations is listed several times. Out of curiousity, does anyone know what this is exactly as I havn't encountered it...
Just wanted to throw in that in my past experience at CFB Esquimalt, I was also given the opportunity to see a physio during the same day or week after going to sick parade. Not sure if the couple times I went were just flukes but that's the access I got.
Again they do and I've known them to go to sea but it is much more rare and only as part of the Commodore's staff in a formation. IntO's are 'support officers' and not 'line officers' per se so they would probably go to sea just as often as a JAG officer would go to sea (i.e. not very often).
I think the situation in the reg force Navy is different however. I'm not sure how it works in the army but for reg force MARS officers, you don't get promoted to Lt(N) until you've been awarded your bridge-watchkeeping ticket from your Captain, and sat and passed your Naval Officer...
Yeah the full length video is available on youtube at:

It was certainly a bit awkward afterwards. There's also a LCol in the video helping Angelo Mosca on the stage...and back up afterwards.
Hmm I havn't seen this jacket before, I suspect that its not part of DEU issue though but rather 'operational clothing' since the LCdr is wearing his ball cap with it...just my guess.
His gloves look interesting too...I havn't seen those around before unless my kit is just too old.
This should be an interesting report to watch (video clip in link):

Agreed, definitely interesting to see similarities in the show to how we do things both on the sea training side and evolutions overall. Now if only we can all look as good as the people on the show... lol
Is this a true statement? Arn't all members of the CF technically sailors, soldiers, and airmen/airwomen regardless of trade/officer classification? Agreed that a different standard may be held for certain members of the CF but to say they arn't soldiers would be an untrue statement as they...
Tsk tsk, the governor general's ADC is quite high profile, I've seen this ADC on several occasions in the media but this is the first time with a sword. He should definitely know better!
I've ordered mine already, can't wait! I was actually looking at buying it from Canex before but glad Logistik is offering it through points allocation now.
I DEFINITELY agree with having the Navy high collar white tunic available on Logistik as an optional item. There would be many more...
I read over the message and this thread and I understand that third location LTA and reverse LTA are no longer available but can someone clarify for me if LTA is still available for reservists to visit their NOK/home? Or was this cancelled when the previous message was cancelled? I took a look...

I know most people in this thread are probably looking at the Army Reserve. But just to clarify, Navy (and I believe Air) reserve officers do the reg-force equivalent BMOQ in the summer with other reserve officers, or they may be loaded on one of the other reg force BMOQ serials run through-out...
