The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

No, when you "simplify" to the point of ignoring all inputs from reality you're simply just wrong. Its not about closing ranks, frankly other posters have been beyond patient explaining in detail the issues.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

People also tend to forget that the US sends surplus ROTC (to include their sister service equivilants) to commissions into their reserve / guard.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Yeah no idea what basis @SupersonicMax is forming that opinion from. Probably doesn't know much about fighter operations....

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

What i mean is that any out sourced training center just ends up hiring pilots as instructors, which means we have more senior pilots poached. I understand where you're coming from, but there tends to be an attitude of just saying "well fix it," without understanding that increasing throughput...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Which means more instructor pilots, for which we need more pilots, and we could outsource but guess where they'd be hiring from?

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

I don't think that's fundamentally true. The only thing that's boosted our recruitment numbers has been conflict. Our pilot and technician numbers have high entry requirements, relatively, and long lead times in training.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Yeah wed just need to triple the size of the RCAF and quadruple our pilot numbers.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Well that's actually not true and we both know that. Costs like restocking a fridge are covered through the posting allowance and the small sum BGRS gives you. You were easier, you caused the least impact to a number of people. Thats not making you "less" its respecting the disruption to...

    2025 U.S. - Venezuela conflict

Im glad I could climb to new heights of illiteracy. Truly I'm doing the infantry proud.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Because they have an increased expense due to having more people to move... Because you were single or because there was a need for a person to do that job and posting you had less impact on other human beings?

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

No we get posted as well. I just could understand the idea that giving people more support when they have more expenses meant they were being treated as "second class." Conversly im generally happy they get support, just like I don't get upset that some people leave work earlier, or get a nicer...

Same in three Div. Really glad they stamped the evil on a Friday team lunch and buying a guy a beer on his birthday but I digress.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Probably - I suppose the counter point is that some of these more remote locations have functional messes that do provide valuable service to members. Probably could be replaced by something different but no pub is going to open on a base where they can't sell beer at lunch.

    2025 U.S. - Venezuela conflict

So for clarity when is it okay to extranudicially execute those suspected of a crime ?

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Base dependant, the JRs in Shilo is busy. That said I wouldn't see my mess dues going to child care as being a second class citizen. I have a weird thing where I like knowing everyone is supported though.
