    Money for Health Care

The provinces want new money and don't want any strings attached.  The Ontario government already has waivered on the way that they are going to use the new health care premium that they are charging everyone in Ontario. I don't think we can trust them with more money. the money will be used for...

    Money for Health Care

They are all grand standing and playing to the camera's.  There needs to be real reform in the health care system.  there is still to much administration and not enough front line workers.  My father has cancer and ever time he goes into the hospital he has to fill in the same forms over again...

    Money for Health Care

Well i hope there is some money left over after this meeting. He seems to be giving in to the premiers.  We better be sitting on a crap load of surplus money or he is going to ask every department to find savings. You know who is going to look at first. here is the website...

We are driving good soldiers out of the Army

how hard do you think it would be changing the CF into a USMC or Royal marine kind of force. I don't see to much need to change either of the three services much to fix a Canadian version of the USMC.  The only thing that i think would be different would be that we would not have any planes...

    SAR Aircraft

I was reading an article in the Ottawa citizen about a month back talking about lockheed martin the manufactures of the C-27j spartan in north America.  they said if they were picked as the choice that they would be willing to  offer new c-130s at lower cost. We need some new c-130s to replace...

    Purpose of the CC-150 Polaris

I don't think the government will ever fly that strykers on planes, they will always use ships. I can see them getting the c27j spartan for the search and rescue and perhaps getting ten to fifthteen c130j since they will share the same engines.  Four to six c17's would be nice to but i think we...

    Purpose of the CC-150 Polaris

I agree with you on the c-17 money is the issue.  4 to 6 i think would do but the cost for those would be over 4 billion dollars that is not counting flight Sims and spare parts. For that price you could buy an all new fleet of c130s.

Should Canada adopt the LAV III (AKA: Stryker) as its primary armoured vehicle family?

I thought it was the honarable John Macallum that signed the contract. i could be wrong.

We are driving good soldiers out of the Army

I was just wondering the same thing are you talking about turning the CF into a marine force.  I think everyone that joins should should do a two year stint pounding the ground before going to there trade school.  By doing this we enlarge deployment available personnel.  They will have at least...

    Canada has better kit

Yeah and the government is giving peace keepers in Sudan 250,000 dollars worth of helmets and vests to them.  We don't have enough for ourselves.  But i guess we should be happy that they are not sending any troops since we don't have any to go.  Soon the only overseas mission of any size will...

Interesting tidbit on Canadian tests of Altair UAV (Predator-B)

Thanks for the info did not know that. Well i hope they make a good choice to which one they want and get enough of them to do the job. We really need to keep an eye on those countries over fishing on the east coast. cheers :)

Interesting tidbit on Canadian tests of Altair UAV (Predator-B)

Getting back to the testing of the Altair UAV.  If the Canadian government is going to use a UAV to patrol the Canadian coast then why did they not chose the Mariner as the test UAV.  It can stay in the air for more than 50 hrs. here is the website of the manufacture...

Interesting tidbit on Canadian tests of Altair UAV (Predator-B)

Come on now they were only built between the first and second world war, and replaced in the earlier fifties.  They are only ten years older than the helicopters you fly. ;D  This is shearwater you are talking about right. :salute:

US National defence and Canadian Multiculturalism Collide

Nice comments.  The United States of America is not part of Canada they are a Country.  Americans can pass any law that they feel is good for them and we can do nothing about it.  We can bitch all we want but we are not citizens of the United States of America.  We can pass laws that the US may...
