What not to do - No excuse BMQ tips [Merged]

An added note, if you're going to end up using 2 sets of toiletries, try not to make it blantently obvious. (Ex. brand new soap/toothpaste, dust on the shaving cream can, etc. etc.) The instructors aren't idiots, they know all the tricks cause they did basic before too, remember. And to you...

Enhanced Reliability Check (ERC) - Merged

You think they care about the postal code of the elementary school I went to when I was 7? Of course they care. :P Besides, it could be worse. I hear for Level III SA they go back 20 years...

    Problems with your Unit BOR

Talk to your chain of command, they should be able to help you out. I find unit orderly rooms tend to listen to a Sgt or WO alot quicker then a Pte. Also be patient, the last thing you want is a pissed off clerk.

    Hey, Reservists!

Ditto to what Hunter said, except replace Medics with Sigs. There's quite a number of signals units throughout Canada, all of which sent out pers to support both Reg Force units, and overseas ops.

    CF finaces and equipment

Yes, yes I do. We siggies are a strange type, totally against getting anything resembling technology.  ::) And who's we? Been hit by many missles lately, Frankie? This is proving to be a fairly entertaining afternoon...

    Obviously you didn't, what's a "fiance?"

    CF finaces and equipment

I certainly don't. In fact, our equipment is much too modern as it is. We should go back to using rowboats and slingshots, and tin cans with string for comms. Then our military will be truly cost-effective. AS you have been told before, please do a search before posting a new thread.

The Big Black Hole Coming Soon

In addition, we sigs learn lots of other equipment that an infanteer would never have the need to know how to use, like equipment used in message centres, etc. etc. Not to mention the fiascos of getting security clearances for everyone... the infantry are too busy learning how to close with and...

    Reserve-Stalwart Guardian 05

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents in here too. -Ditto on the asking us sigs types for help when comms don't work. The ARR, who I was with, were pretty good with doing that. Alot of reoccuring radio problems, however, can usually be troubleshooted relatively easily. 80% of the time, it's...
