    cadets and the reserves?

If you have the time its up to you, I have thought of spending time with my local cadet core myself. Just remember the one problem you might have is that you have to commit to reserves and your priority is there.

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

On your BMQ depending you could wear contacts. Nothing in life changes, dust is dust, dirt is dirt. The problem is you might not have the time to keep the contacts clean, and if you are practicing attacks and there is a dust storm you cannot go "time out" and remove and clean them. Then there is...

Shame list-Boycott Certain CF Unfriendly Places?

It would never be to force anyone to do anything, just gather info and we can then decide for ourselves. You could say that between us all we are at about 70,000. Thats cadets, reserves, regular and coast guard. If you include the Legion it nust be over 100,000. That would be a large group.

I wear glasses and I have no problems, I have astigmatism so I cannot see far distances and I am in the Infantry. As far as the thick funny looking glasses go I do not know, in the past you where given a budget, so if it was $50.00 with lenses and you have no extra cash to upgrade then you will...

Shame list-Boycott Certain CF Unfriendly Places?

There was a few banks that refused the Legion from selling poppies in and arround Montreal, but after some negative press and phone calls they decided to let them back in.

You just got someone who was in a bad mood, dont worry about it. You have to pass the physical then the PT test first, then they will set you up for your interview, it could take time so be patient. It does not hurt to go there instead of calling, people are less app to be mean spirited to you...

Shame list-Boycott Certain CF Unfriendly Places?

I do not know who is to blame, maybe they did it because they saw Army‘s invading country‘s and they did not agree and this was one of the only things they could do, but it brings debate and maybe this will bring change.

Shame list-Boycott Certain CF Unfriendly Places?

That is why I thought of the shame list. There is not only Concordia, but also the bank of Nova Scotia refused to have the Legion sell poppies. We could call it the Army wall of shame. Obviously Concordia watches too much US TV and CNN and have no idea about what Canadian soldiers do. One...

Shame list-Boycott Certain CF Unfriendly Places?

That's OK Hulk, I did not explain myself. A good example is the stores or banks that would not let the Legion sell there poppies, or Concordia in Montreal declared itself a military free zone, hence you cannot walk in the building in uniform. You would have to supply a contact as well as your...

I was thinking more of stores and suppliers, not individuals. But I agree with you Hulk, if it was people there would no end.

Boot cleaning / polishing / care of

I would also suggest the Kiwi parade gloss that Che suggested, on that I would only use Kiwi polish, one reason it is very popular so if you are ever away and need polish you can get it anywhere and have consistency. But that is why I also suggest Kiwi polish; it is of very good quality and very...

Parachutist wings from cadets on my PRes or RegF uniform

When the Airborne Regiment came into existence 1968 to 1995. In order to honor the men who served with the CAR, you would be awarded a silver leaf that you would pin over the red leaf on your wings. Today they do not offer the silver pin, but do have wings with the "silver" white leaf. So it is...

Parachutist wings from cadets on my PRes or RegF uniform

As a paratrooper I hold a high repsect for the Sky Hawks, I do not know why you would say that, I am not a SkyHawk but I think they deserve a little respect, dont you? Look at their schedule, see how many free fall jumps they do on a year. Also there is still a tough selection process.
