Talk to the Centre. They normally don't get the police certificate themselves, thats your responsibility. You'll have to request it and submit it. Same thing for the foriegn Credit check. I have never seen CFRC request a police check on someones behalf, so that sounds a bit odd to me.
As...
In the person above's case they were not a Canadian Citizen. If you are a Canadian Citizen and lived in a red flagged country for 6+ months in the last 5 years you will require a Pre-security Screening, and will also require a police check from that country, and a credit check from the same...
Canada is probably the only country in NATO that actually follows the NATO designations exactly for ship classification. Evidence the DDGH River Class.
As you can see here FFL is both a Light Frigate and a Corvette at the same time, its classification is left to armament or capability...
Asterix did what it was supposed to do at a time when we had no other options. It did great service. Yes it was expensive and yes there were some bad design decisions that lead to not idea seakeeping (including an accident with a Cyclone). Good and bad.
Kept us in the Pacific and relevant...
Fully agree. There is lots of work for Seaspan getting the CCG back to new ships. We'll have our hands full with fleet expansion from other directions for the next 10 years.
Having them hit the water and join the fleet just as PRO/ PRE get ready for mid life would be perfect timing.
PRO delivery to navy summer 27', which will be after builders trials. Then ship will be transferred to Victoria Shipyards to install some of the combat systems as Vancouver shipyards doesn't have the expertise.
It won't be till probably late 28' the PRO is fully approved for every task...
Not sure what they are hot launching. Angled launch advantages include wings are able to provide lift immediately. Which can increase range. As well its easier to orient on a target if you are already heading in the correct direction. Current Sea Sparrow launchers on US Carriers use angled...
For "Safe at Sea" regulations you need a certain number of operational boats and operational cranes to launch them per number of people onboard. I don't know what the number is but I do know this:
MCDV's need one crane to launch the rescue zodiac.
HFX need two cranes, one for the zodiac and...
I don't think the ship will be large enough to take a missile hit and keep going, while still fighting. @Oldgateboatdriver has it correct, all you efforts will be DC and none of them will be operations room stuff. So consider the ops room disposable after battle damage has been inflicted...
I think CDC will aim for 25 knots but now that there is light frigate talk that may no longer be the case. The polar class they want is just ice resistance. There won't be a hull form change just a hull steel change for that. And perhaps some changes to the shaftline and propellers.
They...
Essentially this pictoral is a coverage map of the Maritime approaches to Canada. The circle around the ship represents an approximation of the area that ship can cover for domain awareness (combination of sensors, movement and onboard assets like helos).
Essentially this is the idealized...
