    Order in Council?

I am in the process of applying to join the Primary Reserves and was discussing with my wife the requirements for being a member and a question came up that I could answer. "When was the last time the Primary Reserve faced obligatory service?" I can take some educated guests from my history...

Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management

I have been in to speak with the recruiting officer at 6 FES in North Vancouver.  He believes that the the B.Tech in Construction Management that I'm in will meet the requirements under the Engineering Management mentioned on forces.ca.  We are moving forward on those grounds and I expect to...

    Your Beer Brand of Choice

I was in Victoria during the Olympics last year and took to watching the hockey games at Spinnakers Brewpub.  I tasted many good beers, but my favourite was a Belgian wheat beer called Fog Fighter.

I had it on tap when I was in Scotland years ago.  Even better that way.

    Developmental Periods for Combat Engineers

Thanks. How do these levels equate with MOC Qualification and QL?  I understand that once QL1 was being sworn in.  Where would that sit now?

    Anyone here done an MBA?

I've been looking at that myself, and seen Simon Fraser University offers a Graduate Diploma that's on-line and feeds into full a MBA.

    Developmental Periods for Combat Engineers

Where does training take place?  I'm in the Vancouver area, and assume BMQ happens locally.  Does SQ go local, too?  Am I right in thinking Section Member and beyond are in Gagetown?

    Developmental Periods for Combat Engineers

So, I've been in to talk with the recruiter for the 192 CEF regarding entry as PRes Construction Tech.  It is exactly what I want out of training, EXCEPT BMQ apparently takes a full 13 weeks for Air Reserve.  Read: potential deal breaker for a husband with two young children.  So here to more...

What are you listening to/fav type of music

I was at the Burnaby Blues & Roots Festival a couple weeks ago and saw Imelda May.  Rockabilly Irish girl with a band of guys with 'dos like Elvis.  It was pretty sweet. Check her site: http://www.imeldamay.co.uk/#

I don't know where your from, but an option in the Vancouver area might to head to BCIT and join one of the Engineer units there until your ready for the Regs.  I say BCIT's program because I know that they have an Engineering Diploma that feeds directly into their Bachelors.  If the going...

    Basic Air Qualification or BAEQ?

Stepping a little off topic... I am just starting my application process with the 192 CEF.  I've been able to find lots of info on land BMQ and options for attending.  Is there anywhere an applicant can find info, or can someone share there knowledge?

What book are you reading now?

Bernard Cornwell is pretty damn good.  I just wish he'd put Sharp to bed.  Not that I didn't like his first run at the character and did manage to keep him fresh for about thirteen novels--no small feat in itself.
