From what I understand yes, they went back to MPAC, when I applied it was the BII, must not have worked out well for them so they changed, which I think is a good thing for the applicant. Next MPAC is in February I believe but Ask around on the MP superthread or 17/18 MP recruiting thread. Lots...
I just got my offer for MP only a few days ago with recruit school bypass. You will have to interview for it then if found suitable you'll be loaded onto an MPAC in Borden. Then go onto the merit list after that. Its a decent wait for MP, my application was 15 months total. Being at your stage I...
Ok so here is my situation.... I have recruit school bypass and am headed to Borden for the January 9th QL3. CFRC booked my flights for January 8th. Does this seem right? I have no kit or anything of course as I've been out for 5 years. I feel like I am being set up for all hell to break loose...
Well santa came early this year and I finally got my offer for military police NCM!!!! After 16 months of application they called today. Super pumped and am slated for the January 9th QL3. Thanks to all who answered my million questions.
Just curious if anyone out there has had an offer come down the pipe yet that lives in BC, or even Alberta? Happy holidays everyone, good luck and Thanks for any info!
Well that's slightly depressing... called CFRC this morning and I'm on competition list still, so looks like I probably won't make it on the January QL3 (with recruit school bypass). Was hoping to hear this week but no such luck as of yet. Hopefully by Friday if I'm lucky. Anyone else hoping to...
Roger that,
I kind of figured It'd be for both officer/NCM. I didn't see why not, so it's settled this thread is for all things MP recruiting. Officer or NCM.
So I was told 32 or so positions left for this year (MP NCM) and 73 for next year. So not too bad. Still curious how many people got to the interviews back in October. I'm sure more than 30. Also, apparently they are doing a selection this week so let's keep our fingers crossed and good luck to...
I started a new 2017/18 recruiting thread for mp, for anyone who wants to ask lots of questions and that. Any current MPs we would love for some answerers to go on and help us out a bit, even though you do already. Thanks.
Ooooh, thanks for reminding me... I'm applying as NCM so I guess we can stick to that, I don't really care but I guess there is a bit of difference between the two
Thought I would start up a new thread for candidates of the 2017/18 MP intake. This way we can get to know one another and ask tons of questions without bombarding other threads.

Not sure who your asking but I was last to reply, I'm in Kelowna, BC. Still on competition list as of today I was told. 30 some odd positions are still available for this year apparently.
Nice to hear you made a decision, keep us updated on here once in a while. Would be good to hear how you make out in your new career. Good luck and best wishes to you on your new endeavours.
Huge decision to make for sure. I know it seems hard at first to leave people behind but after a few weeks and once your settled in, those feelings slowly start to fade. The first few weeks of my first tasking in Gagetown I was pretty depressed, but one day I told myself I'm here and better make...
Yah I understand that, I just find it comical when the media gets hold of polls like this then state "most" Canadians agree with said statement asked in that poll. I understand that polls are nearly impossible to execute at larger scales. A total ban on firearms in urban areas would be an...

Came across this today. Seems like a pretty inaccurate poll to me, only reaching out to just over 2000 Canadians... how does that even come close to a representation of what we really think. Just another group trying to...
Yah I couldn't agree more, I was hoping to do an MPAC back in April as I was told that was the plan by CFRC. That was switched with the BII which held back my application until October. I was hoping to get to Borden and see the academy and get a slight familiarization of the place. Would have...
Yup same here, BII was late October and haven't heard back, I've been told it'll be somewhere around early to mid December so yah about 6 weeks. Patience seems to be key in this application for sure, gotta give the MP recruiters some credit though, probably only a few of them and a whole lot of...
Don't want to hijack anyone's question here, but is anybody on here from western Canada and waiting for an interview or has been contacted to do one? Looks like the folks out east are heading to Borden for their interviews. Do us westerners go to Borden or 1 MP in Edmonton for them? Thanks for...
