Don't know how many years the previous records are actually kept for, but your recruitment medical exam is always good for only 12 months.

I think files may also get closed when there are no current openings for the selected trades.

I think the best advice anyone can give here is the same one that's in your attachment. Call or visit to find out the issues and then start sorting them out to get your file reopened. Good luck.

That may be true, but if you're already training for a different trade at that time, I don't know that you will be able to switch back into Pilot, or at least not right away, potentially not before putting in some years into the original trade. I seem to recall seeing in other threads here that...

When I applied, I believe I've filled out the reference forms and gave them to the recruiter to keep. It is a bit strange that you still have your original copies. There are only two possibilities: either the forms were not left with the recruiter by mistake, or they did photocopy them like you...

Well remember they don't owe you anything. Being hooked up with a pilot stop is plenty to appreciate, especially since it looks like they've already told you the good news unofficially. I'd say try to respect their policy.

Can you elaborate on the CFRC not doing the status updates anymore? How are applicants to check their status? I am also a pilot applicant and was told last week that I should call the CFRC in a few weeks to check up on my file. Do you know if you were selected (unofficially) as part of July...
