    Proper CF Drill

As previously stated.... do what your instructor tells you to do, I've been in Edmonton, Kingston, Borden and Valcartier, the only consistency is "stay in step YOU" (or that in french)

Traveling to Cuba, any precautions needed?

When I mentioned the vaccination, it was addressed in regards to any local, ie.. going to another country not just cuba.  We also take into consideration things such as outbreaks in the area which you may need vaccinations for.  BTW Hep A and B have no booster shots once the series are completed.

    All Things Paul Franklin (merged)

I did my QL5 Med-A with Paul, but I haven't talk to him in a while. I passed a message through a personal friend but still I can't find the words to express my admiration. I still remember hearing that Paul had been injured, I will never forget that feeling of knowing that I did not do my best...

Traveling to Cuba, any precautions needed?

Contact your local PMed Tech also, he will give you some good advice and also may vaccinate you depending on the local and the planned activities.

    Soldier Defends Mission

You make a good point haggis (by the way I love the location on your profile!). However this troop did, technically, break the regulations by going to media without consulting PAO first. On the other hand, I wish I had the gonads to do the same! I find that the first hand reporting by serving...

    Soldier Defends Mission

It was a great letter...putting aside the fact that it goes against regs.  The best PR for the military is us, the rank and file.  How do we change views? Talk to friends and family, ask them to talk to their friends, tell our story. I live in the most anti-military province,  I am a member of...

    girlfriend wants to join forces

My ex-girlfriend decided to join while we were still together (I had been in about 5 years). She went to another base, and I was single about 6 months later... word of advice, pick trades that will keep in in the same geographic area

Your buddies are on operations and you're in Canada

I recently (well no really recent, about 2.5 yrs ago) changed from Med A (I prefer the old title) to PMed Tech, I was repatriated from Bosnia for my course. I felt bad that I left early but I knew that it was best for me, and a happy troop is the best for the CF.  After my remuster I was posted...

    Hail to the chef

One of the best examples are the medics... They slog through the same stuff you do, with the added stress of having the knowledge that some may not come home walking.  I have to mention the PMeds though (I am one), everyone (not just combat arms) hates us during immunization parades but...

    Overseas CFBs

There are no CFBs outside of Canada, but there are many opportunities for CF personnel to be posted OUTCAN. I've known dental, sigs, medical, MP, PAO, LOG... almost every trade and proffesion.  Sometimes you need to ask the career shop, but from my understanding most are offered to those who set...
