LOL! Crissakes MM, when we were at gag town BMC & I got promoted to sgt I asked the AO (you know who), the HWO (actually asked 2 or 3 during our time there), etc, etc...we kept getting different answers between no luarel, laurel, & crown....after 28 years & a year retirement I still don't know...

last summer I finished with a PRES unit as a 'supp reserve - attached posted' (retired from the regs out of Gagetown summer 06). From fall 06 to summer 010 I was doing unit medicals, promotion medicals, recruiting medicals, etc  on class A. Did about 4 months class B instructing, etc  out in BC...

My wife, a NB Acadain was posted to Sept-Iles, on the lower north shore ( I left the regs & went reserves to serve at that unit). I speak little to no french myself. And anyone who's been to the lower north shore knows it is very franco with a spattering of some anlgos - though not much...

I joined in 82 & retired last year. Doesn't matter when or what generation you live with or in. I got the same looks & responses from some back in 82. And there will be others who appreciate their Canadian Forces and go out of their way to shake your hand...

Is it 30 days now MM?  if it was within a year,  Rx was good-to-go when I was doing them, but you know that was 5+ years ago for me. -gerry

yep; I retired after 24 years to follow my spouse on her last posting to a remote area; went class A there for awhile then picked up some class B. Applied for EI & my class A & B was factored in. Colected EI for almost year...
