    POST YOUR FAVORITE RIFLE HERE

You cannot get a Prohibited endorsement on your PAL. If you didn't own a Prohibited 12(X) firearm at the time of the Prohibition Order, too bad. Craig

    C3 105 - Future Replacement?

The LG1 is not well regarded by the gunners serving them. Stuff  breaks too easy on them. Not sure what the situation is at 1 and 2 Horse, but AFAIK 5 RALC has 1 bty of LG1, 1 of mortars and 1 of C2's ( The nonconvertible C1's) plus they frequently borrow C3's from the Militia batteries( 2 fr...

    Question?

Kevin , Canadian 7.62 NATO was Ball, C21 , though I have an old bandolier marked Ball, C21A1 . I shot ok with the C1 but I shoot much better with the C7. The old SMG was a handy little weapon but I'm a lefty so I was never real good with one. Someone mentioned how tough it was, I'll have to...

I don't think there's any bulk 7.92 around right now, you could try gunshows. Craig

    Liberals want Handgun Ban

Lots of nasty places in Canada to house inmates. For example, Hans Island. No guards needed, no fences/walls needed . Just have some food parachute dropped by a "sovereignty patrol " aircraft every month or so.  ;D If that's too cold , I'm sure the French would lease us Devil's Island for $1...

    Artillery Cadet Units

There is at least 1 Cadet Corps affiliated to an Arty Regt. in Quebec. Cadet Corps 2719 , to the 2nd Field Regiment , RCA. The CC is co-located with 2RCA. We used to have the Army Cadet corps in Lachute, QC also , but that changed a few years ago. Craig

FS: Various Items Including CadPat (cleaning out my closet)

Positive feedback for JASO. I bought a few things from him, all was as stated and the deal went like clockwork at his end , had a minor screw up with the shipping from _my_ end , but all ended well. I should have posted this 2 weeks ago but was over occupied by the holidays. Thanks again for...

Precision and Accuracy in the call for fire

Other countries artillery may not use the same procedures as Canada does. In the CF the supported arms do not call a arty CP direct, the call for fire is sent to the FOO that is attached to the supported arm. I believe the "higher" Bomber is referring to is the FOO. The FOO is in direct...

    RG-31 ideal for the PRes?

I remember the MILLAV (Militia Light Armoured Vehicle, now know as Bison) , those things we had for all of 1 year before they disappeared ? Don't mention MILLAV in mixed company, its a real conversation stopper  ;D Craig

EFSS - The Artillery of Tommorow?

The current CF vision is "general purpose combat forces" , so the 120mm mortar by itself cannot replace the mortar/gun combination ( and I really think we need HIMARS too) we currently have. A LAVIII mounted 120mm mtr. is a system for a mech. battalion, not a brigade arty asset. A _towed_...

EFSS - The Artillery of Tommorow?

Seems like a good system to me if the 120mm mortar part can meet the objective requirement ( 14km range). HIMARS for deep attack , M777 for med/long range and the 120mm mortar for closer in work. Another thing to consider is that the USMC has its own intergal airpower , both fixed wing and...

    The venerable FN

Unfortunately , your government does not trust you to own a FN . Unless you have the 12.5 prohibited category on your PAL you cannot own one . If you don't already have 12.5 you cannot get it . Sorry for the bad news , Craig
