    Conditional Offer of Employment

Thanks piper - this is as I expected.  Although peculiarly, I signed it after the interview, before updating my CFAT and before updating my medical. Appreciate the help!  :salute:

    Conditional Offer of Employment

So, I'm back with another question.  After searching the forums and turning up nothing, I turn to you, the brave readers of army.ca Just to refresh my situation in everyone's mind:  I am a Pte in the PRes, and I have applied for a CT to the RegF via the ROTP (acronyms much?). I signed a...

    Air Force Forage Cap

Alllllmost picked up an old (but in remarkably good shape!) Army Forage Cap today. I think I'm going to wait to see if I get an offer from the ROTP selection boards in early Feb.  It'd be awesome for wear with mess kit (coming and going from functions), instead of the beret.

    So I'm a Fool.....Really Pre-Medical Injury

Had my interview last week for my CT via ROTP - everything is going tickety-boo. At the end of the interview, the Captain told me to stay healthy for the next little while before up-dating my medical (this coming monday).  I promised him I'd be fighting-fit when I arrived for the medical. Last...

If God wanted me to join the army....

My only question is how were you in the CIC for three years (as your profile says), when you've been trying to be recruited? A CT would have sufficed, no?

Pushups- Try Reading Here First- Merged Thread

Laz, The CFAT (Canadian Forces Aptitude Test) and phyiscal fitness testing are two different things my friend. CFAT testing is a multiple choice exam focused on verbal, spatial and mathematical abilities.  Fitness testing focuses on cardiovascular fitness, strength and power.

Dion, Ignatieff meet with Karzai in Afghanistan

Sounds like a rather large "Whoops!" to me, albeit a very serious one. People like these (politicians) need better handlers, and they need to be briefed better about what is and isn't expected.  They don't always work with these constraints, and they're always looking for a soundbite. "Whoops"

Pushups- Try Reading Here First- Merged Thread

Laz,  go see the vet - its not worth aggravating stuff like that if it is something seirous, I can tell you that from experience.  Taking the time to look after yourself now will save you double the recovery time in a few weeks. It sounds to me like a lot of people are over-training, increasing...

    Intelligence Officer / Operator

I too am up for this round of selections.  Apparently I've been "accepted" to RMC and CivvyU already, so I hope that boots my chances, along with being a Reservist already.

    "Accepted"

Ah - okay, this makes a lot more sense to me.  I'd heard something different from a friend who did the exact same process last year, where he CT'd via ROTP in an almost identical time frame, and then been (I suppose selected) by the end of January. My interview is on the 10th, so hopefully that...

    "Accepted"

Hello all, I searched the forums high and low for an answer to this, but to no avail. I was hoping for an educated response from someone within the CFRC community - or as always works on this forum "experience"! Backgrounder: I am a second year university student, and current PRes NCM.  I...

GUNS 'TOO VIOLENT' FOR POPPY DAY PARADE

She is clearly delusional - but I'll posit this: WRT Freedom of the City etc., does the Mayor of a ville not have the ability to at least request this sort of thing?  I mean, they can grant Freedom of the City as an honour - why could they not suggest something like this? Again, I disagree...

Your Chance To Grill Jack Layton

Well, I had the chance and I took it, albeit, I didn't get all of what I wanted to say, said. I won't lie, as a man, he is an impressive speaker to see first person, and while I don't disagree with 100% of everything he has to say, his Afghanistan position is just too wrong for me to ignore. ...

Your Chance To Grill Jack Layton

MacDonald Hall - the only lecture hall.  2:30pm.  I still need to confirm that it is indeed this coming monday, will check WebCT and confirm by Sunday. Again, if you plan on going, get there early - the Professor is inviting another one of her classes to attend.

    Up to par?

Dropped off my application today - now we commence the waiting game... Hopefully it'll be more expedient than the PRes app!  I'm not worried, the Det seemed like a very switched-on place.

Your Chance To Grill Jack Layton

I attend the University of Guelph, and Jack Layton is going to stop into one of my classes for a 50 minute Question and Answer period. My challenge to you is, give me a question which I can grill him with! If you could ask old man Jack one thing, what would it be?
