"A NEW VETERANS’ EDUCATION AND TRAINING BENEFIT
After putting themselves in harm’s way in service to our country, our women and men in uniform deserve a successful transition to civilian life. A smooth transition is vital for the overall well-being of our veterans and their families. To help...
Here is a pic I snapped during TF 3-08;
Pretty close, the major difference I would say is that the grenade launchers are single bank vs double banked, but as you can see below the launchers and their base plates are moulded seperately on the sprue so it shouldn't be a problem to build it like...
@Macey: I used some vallejo pigments and some washes of paint for the weathering... Maybe I will pick up some of that MIG stuff to do a final coat before it goes under the glass.
She`s done!
Here are some shots of the finished product;
One of the antennas, I lathed this out of wood and here it`s pictured with a coat of white primer on it.
Here are some all around shots of the completed model;
And some close up shots;
Thank You to everyone here who...
Here ya go!
Detail painting on figures finished; I took a week off before the "big push" to finish this to come at it with fresh eyes. This is scheduled to be on display @ the C&E Museum for 07 Aug 12 once my Unit SM approves it.
Two operators featuring authentic "OP Athena Sandy Bums" ;)...
Kingston is still bone dry for combats in popular sizes, and we're starting to look rather tattered; I myself have maybe four months of wear left in my current sets, less if I put a lot of wear and tear on during our big summer EX.
Indeed - three years ago it was literally a case of make an appt with an MO and be told "oh, foot parade issues boot chits"... wait two weeks, go to foot parade and see a big sign on the wall "NO BOOT CHITS, MAKE AN APPT WITH YOUR MO".
Thankfully I had a great MO who was willing to "bend the...
Clothing Stores in Kingston could not issue new type boot as they had plenty of GP's in stock in my size; needed a new pair as one of my sets of Danners finally bit the dust. As I can't wear GP's and have a chit for private purchase footwear, ordered a set of these...
Still puttering away on this;
Crew painted along with the "terp" figure. Mounted the vehicle on it's display base and have been doing some work on the front hull to finish the mirror mounting assembly, as well as the wiring on top for some of the EW gear.
All that is left is two antennas and...
Thanks, lead wire worked like a charm for the genny fuel hoses!
Two shots this morning, some new parts mounted;
Muffler mounted, smoke launchers (rear of hull) mounted - both were scratch build parts as I couldn't find suitable ones in any kit.
C6 mounted w/ ammo box on the crew...
I need to run some fuel hoses between the hull and the generator, open to ideas material wise for the hoses.
Also I saw this and thought "omfg must order!"
Much more accurate reflection of a crew member in the field. ;)
Yeah it is, I was using it to attach the plasticard add on armour panels to the resin upper hull, as the "Tamiya Thin Cement" (the liquid in a glass bottle w/ a brush) wasn't doing it. Unfortunately it caused the panels to warp and pop off, so I had to remake some and ended up just using some...
I am curious to know whether this will also apply to those recently released vets on LTD while going back to college for their two year education period. Currently your CF pension counts towards the 75% during that time.
