Browning Hi-Power on G&A Top 10 Handguns that Changed History

I know...the list can go on and on... I just can't help but chuckle.  (neither can the new guys in the unit when I tell them the story about our issued sidearm.) Inglis also made Bren Guns (after diving a little deeper.)

    Tac Vest in the Winter

I've seen people tie strips of white mine tape to the tac vest to break up the pattern during the winter; I've also seen people wear the winter cam cover as a cape, but this is more for hilarity than actual use.  ;D

Browning Hi-Power on G&A Top 10 Handguns that Changed History

What makes this history tidbit even better is that Inglis was a washing machine/sewing machine company. Who woulda thought?

    Small Pack Issue

In a way, I'm kidding; but at the same time, no. On SQ and DP1 INF, I was bending the wire frame back into place once in a while with.....good god...a gerber.

What are you listening to/fav type of music

Sorry, Piper, but the MudMen's sirens are sweetly singing into my ears at the moment. Check out their first album; Dropkick Murphys and Real McKenzies' fans won't be disappointed with this offering.

    Small Pack Issue

We've had the SPS issued to us for a couple months now; as of 2 weeks ago, my PL WO Authorized the use of SPS as our alternative main ruck (granted we can fit everything he wants us to bring.) With the SPS, extra pockets on the outside, and the valise strapped to the top, this thing kicks a$$...

    9mm, Too old?

Wow!  :o I figured I was "on the money" with the "mileage issue;" but some the stories with the G21 and G22 are quite shocking. I'm glad I didn't invest in a Glock yet; I actually thought about getting a G21. Guess if I get a .45, it'll have to be Kimber or Springfield Armory. As for Glocks in...

    9mm, Too old?

After sitting back quietly reading the posts, I noticed a common trend; if you're going to get a glock, get it in 9mm. This raises a question... Is it because of the Glock's design that we should only get a Glock in 9mm? I have heard from some Glock owners that because the Glock was originally...

    Cadpat Overboard?

Well, I don't know 'bout any "Policy;" however, the rumour mill keeps churning out tall tales like "The Tac Vest was designed to be 'uniformic' for use in parades." ? ? ? ? ? ? ? WTF? ??? Who comes up with this sh!t? Now, the other comment I keep hearing..."The Tac Vest was built around the RCR...

    Cadpat Overboard?

They didn't mention having a choice; just got whatever was available at the time I guess....... That explains more to me... Yeah, that does make sense; what doesn't make sense is they wore the LBV overtop a protective vest (don't those carry plates??? or are they just frag vests?) cheers...

    Cadpat Overboard?

I talked to some of the guys from my unit that came back from the SandBox. Saw photos of others in letters that have a month or so left on-tour. Some wore the CADPAT AR "Jean-Jacket" vest; some wore the TW TV. As for the LBV, I read in another thread that these were created in a large quantity...

why no cooling fins on LMG Barrels?

perhaps cost is the answer? A fluted barrel looks more complex to manufacture; thus more expensive......other than that, I don't see why fluting isn't incorporated in our barrels. Kev?
