    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

No worries. It's all part of the evaluation. Going into something new and seeing how you adapt to it is all part of the test as well, don't forget.

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

To answer your question, the CAPSS simulator is VERY, very sensitive. To overcome this (the instructors @ ACS will say the same thing), sit in a position that allows your wrists to rest on your knees and use ONLY your fingertips (your forefinger and thumb of each hand) on each side of the...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

I don't know why so many of the people have noted on the boards that they are driving 5 hours out of their way, spending however much money to get a few hours in a plane, buying $300 yoke and pedals and flight sims off eBay all to prepare for Aircrew Selection, etc. etc. A few hours in a small...

    Removed from BMQ

In response to a previous comment on this thread, you will not get your university tuition reimbursement until you are a fully trained Private, which means the completion of your trade course.

    forces.gc.ca email address?

All Class B Reservists are given these e-mail accounts. On top of that, forces.gc.ca accounts are generally only given to those of the rank of Cpl and above, provided (like 241 said) you need one for business purposes. Edited for spelling.

    CFB Cold Lake Thread- Merged

Interesting. I myself am doing a CT/OT for pilot within the Air Force, with the ultimate goal of Cold Lake in mind (as it currently stands). If any others have any info or experiences (both good or bad) about Cold Lake, please continue to add... I am also quite interested about life both off and...

Tell Me what i want to know please.

Very well put - it's just like eating a pound of suicide wings without water. You know how suicide wings make your eyes and nose run? Same thing.

Tell Me what i want to know please.

It's not a poisonous gas, don't worry too much about it. I believe it is simply tear gas (correct me if I'm wrong) which makes your eyes, skin, and sinuses burn like hell. Like Ex-Dragoon said, it will make you tear up to the point where you can barely see, snot will be pouring all over the...

Join the regular after being in the reserve

It seems from what I've been reading here that the Recruit School By-Pass is attainable upon a component transfer, provided you are trade qualified, etc. etc. But does this mean the same for someone going from Res NCM to Reg Officer? I am applying for ROTP Undergrad, and am currently an NCM in...

    Failure Rate

Think of it this way. You really only "fail" the interview if you're a complete knob.. if you don't know how to handle job interviews. Think of it as a normal job interview. You fail the PT test if you are so ridiculously out of shape that you can't manage 19 pushups, and however many situps...

    Reserves in the summer?

As long as you're in the army, you'll be training as a soldier. Just because you have finished your 90 days of training does not mean you will stop training. You do courses in order to earn your qualifications, for example, BMQ (Basic Military Qualification - commonly referred to as 'boot camp')...

    Is It Challenging?

First, do a search. This topic has been talked about extensively, time and again. Anyways, you do not have to do 50 pushups right off the bat. The minimum enrolment standard is 19 pushups (if you are male), which you obviously have to be able to do to be enrolled into the forces. During BMQ...

    Cadets And CADPAT

If cadets want to wear CADPAT or some type of camouflage so badly, why not just join the army? lol I believe that there should be something to distinguish the cadets from the CF. If cadets wore CADPAT, there would be no distinction.
