Could any of the supply people tell me if the buttons with crossed baton and sword with wreath for general officers are still in the system? If so is there an NSN?

I think more interest should be looked at the "...news that DND’s budget for professional services, which includes consultants and contractors, is up by $475-million while the army’s budget over all has been slashed by 22%." Thats where the money should be cut!
I personally dont think males should have long hair, If you want to join the military then make the commitment to have short hair. I dont care if the ladies want to have long hair as long as they keep it in a bun or similar but when it comes to corn rows and other stuff I dont think that is too...
He did not say he wanted to have long hair or anything. He is stating that there are different standards for both sexes and , I am assuming, that he dosnt think the ladies should have so many choices when males do not. I just dont think he wrote it down to well. I think we need more detail in this.
I agree, they make me want to vomit. I bet I made more sweat on one day in Pet than they have in their entire lives. They shouldnt wear the uniform (and rank) let alone the maroon beret. What a bunch of geeks.
Back when I joined in 1983 it took a year, that was when not a lot of people were joining. It takes time, get used to it. "Hurry up and wait" is what you will be doing for your career, if you get in.
You actually think wasting untold BILLIONS of dollars is worth becoming a republic for? The Queen does not really effect what we do as a county in any way. Even without her it would run exactly as it does now. And you can imagine how much corruption would creep in, lots of contracts going out to...
Why does no one ever mention how much money it would cost to do the change? Sawing off crowns from badges is easy but
but Parliment would change and all books and documents would have to be rewritten. The price would be astronamical!
I think I have all my old kit. I joined in 1983 and I think I still have a set of short small combats and I still have the old "velcro" webbing. I might even have some old combat boots. If your interested I will have a look.
I was on the test for the new pistols in LETE in 1988 and the Glock didn't do so well. Lots of jamming problems and they even had company people come up and see what they could do but we seem to have just had a batch of lemons. So they didn't get high marks so were not one of the top choices.
The Missisauga Horse started out as the Toronto Light Horse circa 1903 and was that till 1907. Unfortunatly that means they probably would use TLH and there number was 9th anyway so it probably wasnt them. Back to the books.
