    Eosinophilic Esophagitis

I could see how it would put you on a category in that, per guidelines I was perusing, needs specialist follow up annually to biannually, depending on symptoms. As a main common denominator is food allergies, mainstay of management is dietary - which can be a category issue as well - on top of...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Forgot about the Hawk...which also had a ground attack package on the original iteration... Yup...or better yet, just commission one of the already pretty decent ones that any number of countries already have - Korea, Japan, Singapore, etc... ISMERLO's site has good resources of who's who and...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Just thinking as well - technically, there was a ground attack package for the Tutors - they're much like the BAC Strikemasters, without their machine guns/cannons. They could I suppose keep the airframe/make newer ones, add updated avionics and a weapons package, boom, newer low level ground...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

We still designed/produced the CF100 - a great fighter for its time...and even exported it. Canadair also produced CF-86's (and exported them) and CF 104's (and exported them). The Argus was a great plane. Pity we didn't export some of our older destroyer and frigate designs...also pity we...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

The Arrow...the Bras d'Or...CL 227...CL-84/CX-131 (the original design of the Osprey used by the USMC)...frig, even our frigates and destroyers in the past...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Ironic that one of the first UAVS produced was a Canadair product - CL-227 back in the 70's...

    Favourite War Movies

Dr Strangelove is one of my all time favorite movies - still laugh heartily when I watch it. Peter Sellers should have got the Best Actor Oscar for all his alter egos in that movie...at least he was nominated.

Rejoining in the Res F during medical residency

I just noticed this too - are you doing a Royal College Anaesthesia residency or CCFP +1? If the latter and you've done your CCFP exam, you could probably enroll as a GDMO...however if former, yeah, what Staff Weenie said. I suppose another option would be trying to see if a spot was open in...

Canadian modular assault rifle project, a C7 replacement?

In the early 90's when I was posted in Calgary, Brigade set up a deal with the Base Gun Club to take people in to show us how to shoot trap and skeet to (a) learn to use a shotgun, (b) learn instinctive shooting against a moving target and (c) engage moving areal targets. I'd shot a bit of trap...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

I'd argue back in the earlier NORAD days, yes we were, since the plans were to intercept and destroy incoming bombers in northern Canadian airspace by nuking the formations with Bomarcs, Genies and Falcons...and hopefully only the Inuit would be living "The Chrysalids".

CAN-USA Tariff Strife (split from various pol threads)

Ahh, but it sounds cool...kinda like how the BC NDP declared Canadian soldiers to be terrorists... Funny how he was coming north...but we're the problem (well, I guess someone in Alberta is a problem in that they're selling a decent amount of coke).

    Lawyers Allegedly Behaving Badly

Maybe he should be discussing ridding himself of his Canadian passport and see if he can get a Green Card...assuming ICE doesn't rendition him Guantanamo Bay, where I'm sure he could put his law degree to use  :devilish:

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Seem to recall they were doing the up-armouring of the Bison fleet out on the old base in Chatham, NB - myself, a buddy and the Surg Gen received the first ambulance variant on behalf of the CAF there I want to say in 2005 or 6 (all I remember I was interviewed for CTV news and they spelled my...
