So, ~900 (90,000 x 1%) of these parts were placed more than 5mm out of spec? That sounds more like Cyber Truck build quality than BMW.

    TCAT-PCAT info and questions ( merged )

We are are most likely going on a hiring spree to support Army Modernization. Plus, if it the worst comes to pass and the CAF can't retain you due to your injury you can be placed on the priority hiring list. As an unqualified Pte you, most likely, may not be eligible for all the jobs out there...

    TCAT-PCAT info and questions ( merged )

There is always the public service. There are still ways to serve the country (and the CAF) without wearing green. We rely on them to do a lot of work and literally couldn't operate without their support.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

It may be the best system out there, I don't know and will take your word on it. I am sure, as you said, the program itself is an industry standard for a reason. But the question was about user friendliness. I know some guys that can do some real magic on DRMIS, however, it is anything but user...

No. Because we have been stretched for cash for a long time and have spent our meagre funds elsewhere. “The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. He earned thirty-eight dollars a month plus allowances. A really...

Not just that, tools. If an MRT gets blown up but the crew survives how do they replace whats in their tool boxes? I'm not just talking about wrenches but specialty diagnostic equipment. For better or worse, everything we buy has computers and electronics sensors embedded. The types of equipment...

Informing the Army’s Future Structure - CAMO Discussion

Neither. Why do they have to soldiers/sailors/aviators? Being able to pass a FORCE test, shoot a rifle, and pass PLQ doesn't make cyber pers any better at their job. Hire public servants. They can all still work for DND, either as part of an expanded CSE or a new agency. The CAF will need some...

Informing the Army’s Future Structure - CAMO Discussion

CCA was in Wainwright yesterday and was asked a few questions about armoured stuff. He said he was optimistic about the VOR. With the long term support contract in Nisku the VOR will be trending positively for the first time in his career and he expects it to be much better by the summer. He did...

Our North - SSE Policy Update Megathread

No, I just spent some time googling. The way the article was written seemed odd, so I wanted to find out some background on its author. Maybe this technology is something we should be procuring, I don't know much about sea radars. What I do know, is a clear conflict of interest when I see one.

Our North - SSE Policy Update Megathread

The bullet points in that article sound more like a sales pitch than actual journalism. It was authored by Pierre Leblanc, his bio can be found here. An excerpt from that bio: "Recently, he assisted Raytheon Company to win the contract for the operation and maintenance of the North Warning...

What? No. The Manoeuvre Div will be called 3 Div and based out of Edmonton. The Defence of Canada Div will be based out of Montreal and be called 2 Div. Support Div will be called 4 Div and is looking for a home. CADTC may get a new home and new name. Expect a bunch of sad cowboys to move East...

You are preaching to the choir. The Canadian Citizens only thing creates a lot of other problems. We can't even give a radio to a mutual ally participating in a Canadian exercise. When we used to run MAPLE RESOLVE, we planned to have some Aussies show up and act as OCTs. But as non-Candians we...
