and even worse, it teaches things that are flat out wrong although they often come with the "this may not be exact" caveat. But who pays attention to a warning until they actually get burnt. Case in point I was out pulling weeds yesterday and came across one without any fruit or flowers that I...

TKMS Type 212CD (Victoria class replacement megathread)

By the looks of the owners, most of the current AIP subs are not operating too far from home plate so local suppliers and permanent hookups would work just fine for them. Our transit times to, for example, Bering Strait would be at least a week submerged (guesstimate) Our needs will probably...

I'll buy that. Before COVID there were not a lot of situations that endorsed working from home; although there were definitely some. The rules didn't change but working from home was one of few options available if a business wanted to stay in business. COVID ended, companies that had found...

perhaps this conversation is identifying one of the potential benefits of the Korean option: that is converting the last 4 subs to nuclear powered; a potential option that I don't believe the 212 can deliver

looks good, well out over the lake and on approach to TZ. Appears to be downwind for 26. Base will be over the lake turning final clear of Tommy Tompson Park. If he is on a visual he will turn inside the park over the eastern gap so never over housing. RNAV approach in IMC will also keep...

I wonder. If they were to confirm the addresses of those who responded how many were residents of the Islands themselves or owned harbourfront condos? Because for the people and businesses north of front street there would be no increased noise and no increased traffic. Even the approaches...

Both you and Halifax skirted around the the issue of distraction and went straight to the punitive. There is no benefit in providing an option that can lead to dismissal any more than is absolutely necessary. From family experience I can attest to the problems associated with working from home...

Sadly it doesn't work as it should and not always because people are milking the system although that is prevalent as well. Families grade school children at home for the summer are constantly distracted unless the kids are in full time camp or some other 'away from home' facility. Yet it is...

They are fortunate. Google Milton and count up the number of homes with no yards per park and they are located like one per 4 blocks or more. Or maybe Burlington up by Headon Road. sure there are parks but there are a lot of streets for kids to cross to get to them and several blocks of homes...

    Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

not entirely but row houses with a decent rear yard would certainly help. Town houses here have enough space for a BBQ, a 4 ft. round table and 4 chairs and that is about all. When you couple that with parkettes instead of parks or green spaces for kids to play and your kids end up inside with...

TKMS Type 212CD (Victoria class replacement megathread)

you are ambitious aren't you? From everything I have heard or read by the time we have the 212CD boats the Victoria's probably won't be safe to take to sea without spending beaucoup to cash just to keep them capable of going down and most importantly coming back up again. Just a guess.
