With regards to JSS being used as sub support vessels… I think I read somewhere on these threads that a true support vessel for submarines would require dynamic positioning. I stand to be corrected, but I don’t believe the BERLIN/BONN/JSS class are equipped with that. Nor are the AOPS for that...

Every time I try to explain why we have and need a strong navy, I ask them to take off a shoe, place it next to their cell phone and lunchbox. I ask them what all 3 have in common and then explain how they all arrived in a sea container. It drives it home in a more relatable sense.
