    USA exchange

I wouldn't know how many metres that you would be diving .... when I did my USA East exchange in 1998, all we did were social-cultural visites. However, I am certain that it would respect the norms of the CCM ... because your officers on the exchange should not have you pass them. Good day...

Why Did Canada Change Our Salute

Bite your tongue .... That would have been what I would have said if I was one of the first members to answer this thread, and that it was the navy salute, but most people here have already stated that. :salute: However, I've been noticing many older/senior officers that don't salute...

    Hmcs Ville de Quebec

I might be an idealist, but this is my vision of the country.... A country were all Canadians are thought to learn at least English in French well enough that tey will be able to communicate with any Canadian anywhere in the Canada. However, we can also encourage people to learn other languages...

    Mace Drill

Hi! I believe that there exists a cadet band drill manual, or it could be CFP 202. I am not certain about this fact, however, as drum major, you should ask your band officer about it. As a former drum major myself, there are not many movements that actually exists. There is the: attention...

    Hmcs Ville de Quebec

I understand why the Supreme Court would not want to touch bill 101 too much ... it could have created choas in the Province of Québec, and the PQ would win all the points here. I believe that politically, the Supreme Court might have done the right thing for National unity, however I am sorry...

    Navy Uniform classes and regulations

I thought that 2A was the white mess kit for summer, and 2B was the "unsual" uniform, however with a bow tie instead of the neck tie. Could I be mistaken?

    Hmcs Ville de Quebec

I guess that I've been convinced to look at the other side of the medal, and have to look at the cost and the realities of today's world. That was a shock to learn that even the French Marine nationale communicates in English. A part of me still thinks that it seems wrong that unilingual...

    Hmcs Ville de Quebec

As a Francophone, and a firm believer in official bilingualism, I believe that all of Her Majesty's Canadian Ships should communicate bilingually. In this, I mean that all opening communication could be stated bilingually, and then, the person that has to answer will respond in any on the two...

    CIC

I recommend that you find a unit, and take some time as a CI to really learn what to work within the cadet movement as an officer. I was a CI for three years before I enroled, and I appreciate the time that I had to learn and mature before becoming an officer. Good luck!

    CADPAT as Navy Work Dress?

Naval-types should be permitted to have a CADPAT uniform if they need it for their functions only. As a CIC officer, we do have to bring our cadets on Outdoor Adventure Training weekends, however seeing that the Naval Combat Dress is inappropriate for the woods, we should be permitted to have a...

    Hmcs Ville de Quebec

I don't understand why the HMCS VILLE DE QUÉBEC website offers only in English, and that they state that the ship only offers services to it's members in English. I thought that HMCS VILLE DE QUÉBEC was at least bilingual or not more French. I've been onboard HMCS VILLE DE QUÉBEC in October, and...

Summer camps .... what did you get!

Bonjour tous le monde! Seeing that Summer 2005 is coming soon, I was wondering if anyone here got their summer postings, or the course that they will be participating on this summer. I will be a TWGT (Two Week General Training) Divisionary Officer at HMCS QUÉBEC Sea Cadet Summer Training...

is st.jean a canadian forces base?

That is the mature thing to do I believe. It's nice to remember the past (I am studying history) however, we do have to think of the future, and how not to repeat the errors of the past.
