The HGH greatly improved my sense of smell. I read this and found it rather interesting that smell was being used to diagnose neurodegenerative conditions. Peanut butter could become a diagnostic tool in the field...
I can't edit posts at any time after they are made or look at profiles of other members. I had this ability and then it disappeared for some reason. I just want the ability to fix spelling and grammatical errors.
I can no longer edit posts, look at user profiles and the search function often fails me(though that may not be related).
Could I get the edit function reinstated?
Vet's needed to be demanding after 2005. So many were screwed over. Many ended up crippled and on the streets. The sacred promise of unlimited liability was undeniably broken by the government. There is no debate about that. In no other job can your boss put you deliberately in mortal danger...
If Brazilians were eavesdropping on MNR here in Ottawa I would want the individuals responsible in jail. 75% of the world's mines are headquartered in Canada. This looks like industrial espionage for the economic gain of those transnational corporations.
We look rather like third world...
Just an update. My sleep is back to normal, anxiety is gone, almost back to my preinjury level of fitness, joint pain disappearing, etc. I went off for three days. My sleep problems and anxiety returned. I went back on the regimen and my sleep was back to normal that night.

(Can a mod turn my ability to edit posts back on.)
Germany managed to get 34 percent of its electricity from wind and solar over a 24-hour period .

Solar panels are now 1/100th the price they were in the 1970's and are as reliable as a hammer. Prices per watt has been dropping like a stone for over 40 years. It is very possible we will see solar become the cheapest form of electricity generation if we live long enough.

I said simple, not to be confused with easy. I lived off grid for a few years. It wasn't that bad. If my kids needed me to make that sacrifice so they could enjoy the same sustainable lifestyle I'd have to be a right prick to refuse. I'm not the last bloody generation on earth.
The IPCC was 66% sure in 2001, 90% sure in 2007 and currently 95% certain.
If a panel of the world's best doctors were 95% sure you had terminal cancer that could be cured by simple lifestyle changes wouldn't you make them?
This thread is one of the saddest on this site. I can't think of a single prominent scientist still in the denial camp. Even the guys working for the Heartland Institute have quit and jumped ship. No one with an academic background disputes this anymore. Only the USA is in denial of climate...
Screwing over veteran's is an odd issue to be nonpartisan about. Blaming the Liberals would be a great idea. The main reason for the NVC was money though. Bean counters where nosing around Ottawa saying the cost of supporting veterans would be greater than prosecuting the war and that this was...
Eventually distance will matter again. Oil will inevitably cost many times what we pay now. Cities are for centuries, something North Americans easily forget. Density will matter again. Then the suburbs will be abandoned first to the poor and then most likely torn down.
Public Relations can play the game when individual soldiers come forward. Say it is an isolated incident or a clerical oversight. In some cases they have illegally raided their VAC files and gone so far as character assassination and intimidation to stop valid complaints. They fired the last...
